Advance Australia Fair is Australia's national anthem. Everyone seems to know the 1st verse, but the 2nd seems a bit more elusive! ...

Just any poem except for My Country, My Island Home, The Man from Snowy River, Advance Australia Fair, The Slip Rails and the Spur, Bellbirds and I am, we are Australian since I already have them all. ...

Just to recap on my last posting. Some of the people who replyed thought that I do not know my national anthem. I do. That is why I think that it is funny that people do not know theirs. I live in australia and my national anthem is advanced Australia Fair. I sung it at a camp at easter this year and I was the only one to know all the words. I never learnt my anthem at school I had to find it out myself. Also I am wondering if people know any songs that are for country such as for australia My boomerang wont come back or bound for South Australia. I particually like the song "the band played walzing matilda". A sad but good song. ...

I still call Australia home I am you are we are Australian Advances Australia fair. ...

I think it stinks! National Anthem for National Anthem..that works. But' oh p-lease, don't insult a call to battle, just before the battle, with a display of tuneful harmonies & gentle swaying! I'm sick of the Rugby Unions of other nations trying to quash the NZ tradition of performing the haka. The haka is a blood rousing start to a match. Instead of preventing it, why don't the other rugby nations use their imaginations & drawn on their greater historic wealth to come up with a challenge of their own? Something like the scene from Braveheart when the Scots 'moon / brown-eye' the Poms perhaps? A Hutu or Tutsi war dance would be awesome to see! Let's face it, when charging in for the 'kill' "Hen Wlad fy Nhadau", "God Save The Queen", "Flower of Scotland", "Soldiers Song", "Advance Australia Fair", "Nkosi sikelel' iAfrika", or "Marcha de la Patria" hardly do the trick when you want to pump some serious adrenaline! ...

I have Advance Australia Fair, of all things Ah Stephen. Thanks mate I am laughing my head off right now. Hey guys....yeah Bob Dylan is playing on the stereo, plus the Stones so I`ve gone hippy. At home "sick". ...

P&S has voted and sadly Cheryl B wasn't good enough to make the cut and has been kicked off! This round is one of my favourites in the competition! National Anthems! Our remaining singers sung these songs: George the Hippo - ?The Star-Spangled Banner-USA? Martina McBride - ?My Kazakhstan-Kazakhstan? Melvin - ?O Canada-Canada? Smurf - ?My Homeland-Iraq? Katie T - ?Song of Marseille-France? Brian G - ?God Save the Queen-England? Iteludesme - ?Advance Australia Fair-Australia? They are sung beautifully but someone has to go, Just say the name of who you want kicked off and if you feel like it, why. The power is in your hands P&S Also for people who don't know what this is check out my past P&S Idol questions Check tomorrow for the next round! ...

I'm an Australian and of course, love our National Anthem "Advance Australia Fair". But I also like The Star Spangled Banner. I think it is quite stirring. I would Like to know what country you are from and what National Anthem from "other" countries you like and why [apart from your own]. ...

Has Advance Australia Fair lost its meaning? I would rather sing 'We are One" that has more meaning to me than the anthem.. Anyone from other countries think they need an anthem change? What is the My Island Home called and who is it by? I think that often our sporting stars are the ones mumbling along, or even not singing at all! I see people in America crying with emotion as they all stand at once to sing their anthem. I want to feel that partiotic. Our current anthem is more meaningful to the older generation. I love my country but sometimes when i sing it i don't feel the wrods, and thei meaning. We are Australian or 'we are one' seems to sum up australia very well as well. i love that song :) ...
