Does anybody know where i can get a butterfly knife?
...
For years I have been owning butterfly knives also known as Balisong knives.I understand that there are restrictions on these particular knives in different jurisdictions;what makes a dual handle folding knife any more lethal than a regular folding knife, this type of edged instrument doesnot constitute a "gravity knife" by whatever means I can see, does anyone have any input on this issue?

Does anyone know what the knife/ Concealed Knife laws are for the state of maine?
I've been told that you can carry a knife as long as it's not a switchblade or has a blade longer then 6 inches. Is this true?
If it says that the length of the blade cannot exeade 6 inches...does that mean I can carry a knife with a six inch blade?
The knife I'm wondering about can be found on this sight

Does anyone have any ideas of inexpensive solutions of how to store knives? Something I can purchase that is cheap or I can easily make? I do not have a drill, so I do not know how to attach a magnetic strip. I have a small one that came with the house. Any ideas how to attach without a drill? I have a hammer nails and an all and screw driver? It was placed in a position in which it was un-usable. My knives are a mixture so a knife block does not work. I have a small kitchen. Any ideas. I have the knives losse in a drawyer cuttently and put them in a juice pitcure for a bit, but a rommate took them out and they are all under my turntable of my cabnet at the moment because they fell out. I need something that works and no one gets hurt. He left and now I need to get them out from under my turning shelf.
I know it should not be this hard but people in my home are low functioning adults with high level educations. If you get the idea. No common sense. Book smarts.
Good ideas you are on all roll people I think the epoxy leads me to a double faced tape idea and the frige is by the stove. I may do a combo of ideas. Keep up the ideas. The drill-less may have an option.

There is a notice on the bullitin board at the complex mail boxes that says there was a woman raped at knifepoint 2 blocks from where I live. I found a knife in the parking lot this evening. I called the police to notify them and see if they would look in to it, and they told me to do whatever I wanted with the knife. So I picked it up with a plastic bag. I am thinking of telling my building managers, and mailing the knife in to the police department. I know that there is a possibility that this is not the knife from that rape...but I still think the police should at least look in to it. Should I mail the knife to them? I mean, it seems a little careless that the didn't even ask what area I lived in or anything...

Hi,
I'm looking for a knife that I can use to cut plastic 1 gallon bottles. It needs to be small, be able to cut the bottle fairly fast, and should be fairly quiet. The reason I need this is because I'm designing a magic trick, and I need to keep the knife hidden in my sleeve for the most part. And it needs to cut the bottle fairly fast, and preferably not too loud.
Does anyone know of something that I could use to do this?
What I have found so far is simply a razor blade, which is a bit too slow and hard to cut the bottles with. I was also looking at soldering irons with hot knifes attatchments. If anyone knows if the butane powered hot knife would do the trick, please tell me. Can you hear them burning loudly? Or if they have portable electic hot knifes, that would be great.
Any ideas for what knife to use would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

I have a knife throwing target in my back yard, I made the actual target out of some scrap wood I had lying around. Time has past and many knives have hacked at it, and the target is to the point where I should replace it. But now I'd like to take the time and put a little effort into the target. I have a design I like, but the thing I'm not sure about is what type of wood should I use. Do I want wood that allows the knife to slide in with the most ease? Do I want wood that will stick a knife but will stand the best test of time? I won't mind replacing the target face ever so often so I'm leaning towards the former, but then again thats why I'm asking. Thanks in advance.

I have a butterfly knife. It is a Spyderfly from Spyderco. The latch that locks the knife closed no longer springs back when i squeeze the knife for quick opening. The spring is there but its not doing anything. I think it got bent somehow. Is there a way to repair this and if so what tools will I require. Is there a place to buy replacement springs? If its not something I can repair myself do you know of a good knife repair shop in california?
Thanks everyone,
Silence
I am aware of california knife law. It is illegal to carry a balisong knife of any kind. However ownership of a balisong knife is permitted as long as it does not leave private property.
This is not something that can be superglued. It would be illegal for me to sell this blade to anyone in california, therefor I can not pawn it. To those of you who said to contact Spyderco I am already trying that and awaiting a response.
Thank you everyone for your help,
Silence
It is a balisong knife. The Spring is for the latch that keeps the knife together. It has no function in opening the blade.
It does fit the description of switchblade per california state law. A switchblade is considered any blade that can be opened with one hand according to california.

I have a Chef's knife which i ALWAYS have to sharpen, which isn't really a big deal, but this is my question, or questions.
1. Is there a way to keep my knife sharper longer
2. On my little knife sharpener, it has 2 sides, one is carbide, and the other is ceramic. What is the ceramic part for? Just ceramic knives?
Thanks, please let me know.
