Break figure A into some-sized pieces, and you can put together a figure B out of the pieces if the 2 figures have the same area. Prove this. Thanks in advance! Both figures are polygons. ...

I've been figure skating for a while (2 years) and i'm sort of getting bored with it, so i decided to try Hockey. The first time i tried hockey skates a few weeks ago, i fell and chipped my tooth... i really didnt think hockey skates would be so much harder than figure skates... Anyway, so considering that i'm not too smooth in hockey skates yet, how long do you think it would take me to get used to them? is my figure skating experience going to help me at all? Do you have any tips to help me get used to hockey skates and make the transition from figure to hockey any easier (besides practicing...) Oh, and do you think i'd be way far behind everyone if i started now (i'm thirteen.)?? thanks!!! it'll be a mixed league (boys and girls..) ...

The Spinning Figure Skater. The outstretched hands and arms of a figure skater preparing for a spin can be considered a slender rod pivoting about an axis through its center View Figure . When his hands and arms are brought in and wrapped around his body to execute the spin, the hands and arms can be considered a thin-walled hollow cylinder. His hands and arms have a combined mass 8.0 kg. When outstretched, they span 1.8 m; when wrapped, they form a cylinder of radius 25 cm. The moment of inertia about the rotation axis of the remainder of his body is constant and equal to 0.40 kg*m^2. If his original angular speed is 0.40 rev/s, what is his final angular speed? Express your answer using two significant figures. ...

What defines the "hourglass" figure, exactly? I've never really been able to tell the difference between what defines it and a "pear" figure. The only difference I really see is the fact that hourglasses are just a bit slimmer I guess. They look pretty much the same to me though. Also--could anyone tell me whether I have an "hourglass" figure or a "pear" figure (or if I have neither) by my measurements? They're: 38-27-38. Thanks in advance. ...

For school we have to do a historical figure project on a historical figure and we have to write like a 7 page report on our figure. One day we come to school dressed like our historical figure and we have to have a display board, ( 36"x24" [ i think ]) with a timeline on 1 fold and pictures and facts and info and just little things to describe them. We go to a mall and set up there with our boards and people come and ask us questions and look around at all of us. I want to make a creative board. Any ideas? I am doing Dolly Madison, James madison's wife. And any outfit ideas? I am planning to wear a regular white dress that goes to my knees with my hair curled, but i would like other ideas. ...

Hi, Im currently 14 years old and im thinking of goin into either figure skating or ballroom dancing. But, my problem is that, I cant make up my mind..I hear that Figure Skating costs more because you need/should take ballet classes and you need to have a choreographer n stuff. Ballroom dancing has long since been my passion but, lately, all i can think of is figure skating. I there such thing as taking it as a hobby? I mean..it's still to expansive for a hobby? ...
