 Hi...I have a good friend that grew up and still lives in Glasgow, Scotland. I see him once in a while, but I often have a difficult time understanding what he says, unless he speaks quite slowly. (I am an American by the way.) I absolutely love the accent, but sometimes I think it is a totally different language! Short of immersing myself in the culture (which I would love to do but can't at the moment), does anyone know of a way I can learn Glaswegian? For instance, a book on tape spoken with a Glasgow accent, a TV show/movie, a CD, etc. I don't necessarily want to learn how to speak it (although that would be cool =), but I really do want to understand it! By the way, if there is anyone that is really familiar with Glasgow accents, and the fact there are actually several different ones within the city (ack!!!), he speaks more of the posh Glaswegian. ...

 I have Glasgow Club fitness membership and currently either go to the gorbals gym or the tolcross one the sauna seems bigger and better at gorbals but the tolcross gym is much better with more more weights my question is there are another 16 glasgow club gyms in glasgow have you been to any of the others what are there weights lifting sections like in them how to they compare to theones you have been in. I would quite like to know whether tolcross is the best one or not?? ...
