 Car seat issue!? OK I am a mom of 3 with a new baby due in April 07 in all there will be 6 of us! in my car. now seating in my car is not the issue it seats 8! the issue is two of the seats are rear faceing and only 4 of them have sholder straps! when the baby comes I know it will need to go in the middle of the back seat in a rear facing set (been there with the other three) My issue is where can I put every one else! my children will be 6y 5y and 4y when this new baby is born! any one know the laws (I'm in Virginia) on where and how a child needs to sit in the seats? (are my two rear lab belt only seats as good as not there?) right now my youngest (3) is in a 5 point in the middle of the back seat and the (4) and (5) year olds are in backless boosters on either side of him. (the boosters must be used with sholderstrap seat belts.) oh and the passenger side air bag has been disabled! (the former owner had lots of kids) (the third row seats are rear facing with lapbelts! my car is a 1994 ford taurus station wagon! the websites I have found (yes even the VADMV) dont address rear facing seats! ...

 I recently found out that most states do not require adults to wear seat belts in the back seat. I had never thought of the backseat being any different than the front seat really. So I would like to ask are you more likely to use seat belts in the front seat than in the backseat? Do you use seat belts in the back seat? ...

 Seats. The one with the big ole hole in it and the other, which serves as the lid or a seat. Now I know men leave the seat up, Right? Right. When women use the toilet I have noticed they leave the lid up and the seat down. Men on the other hand leave both the lid and seat up. But pray tell, what is the difference? Men have since time began left the seat up. So the ladies ought to know to check to besure the seat is down. I know peeing on the seat is offensive to the ladies and i admit it is to me to, see that, that is why I always lift the seat, and admit, do not always put it down. So then, How come the women do not put the lid down if they are so adament about putting the seat down? It is not are fault your pretty little bottom gets wet. ...

 OK, we just went from a car seat w/ 5 point harness to a booster seat. We were so excited for her to be able to use a "big girl seat belt"! But now that I have it in the car it seems all wrong. First of all it does not seem to "attach" to the car in any way, so when I make a sharp turn, or she leans too far forward, the seat nearly falls over! Also, the buckle for the seat belt is right at seat level and it's very hard to buckle, even for me! It seems like the arms of the booster seat are in the way, but I don't want to remove them. I just bought it today, and won't drive with her in the seat until I can figure out a better way. Any suggestions? ...

 how do normal seat covers fit on the seats that have the plastic thing that the seat belt goes through... i bought seat covers for my 99 mustang and they came in but dont fit because of the plastic holder that is on the side of the seat coming out from under the head rest... does the plastic thing come off anyhow? i don't use it for the seat belt holder....and autozone didnt have a clue where to get seat covers for it... ...

 i want to switch my factory 2004 cavalier seats with racing seats since the interior of my car is boring looking, i dont however want to get a 4 or 5 point racing seatbelts, i want to use the regular factory seat belts on the new racing seats. is the seat belt connector attached to the factory seats or to the brackets?? i cant really tell by looking. is it possible to install racing seats with the original seat belts? thanks alot. ...

 im against seat belts. reason is i was in a really really bad accident and if i had on my seat belt i would have died and it states it in the police report. so none the less i dont wear my seat belt and will never wear one. i got pulled over the other day for not having it on and i didnt get a ticket for it just got a ticket for no proof of insurance cuz the new one wasnt in the car yet (stupid on my part i know) but why do they have seat belt laws yes it can save lives but there are phones people doing makeup, changing just alot of dumb things that can cause an accident yet there are no laws against these. yes seat belt law brings in cash but shouldnt it be the person's choice cuz it doesnt affect anyone else or if your not wearing one it doesnt cuz an accident. i just really really hate the seat belt law cuz once you get one they keep stoping you for it and they can stop me 100 times and i still wont have it on, i'd rather pay the fine than my life so who can i write im in michigan who can i write regarding seat belt laws in michigan? whos the best to write. should i just write granhlom over and over? is there a state that doesnt have it what is a good web site to research seat belt law affects. to WHO ELSE thanks for your opinion. i dont have kids but when i have my neices(3yrs old) i buckle em up safe and sound. when i have my nephews 8 and 10 they buckle them selves up. i get they can be thrown out of the car so i buckle them up. and if i had my own kids i would buckle them up, but i am 24 and can make that choice for myself. i hope you calm down and stop being so rude to random people. i know what can happen if you dont have one on and if you do and dont think i dont think about that ever time i see a car. if you could see the other side of the issue you might think a little more of the issue. every time i get in a car and the person im with says buckle up i think about it for a second and try to put it on but i start to shake and tense up and feel like im going to pass out so there for i dont wear it. by all means you can wear one im just not going to and if the government wants to take my license away cuz of no seat belt fine. to mark. it says most likly cuz the seat belt was ripped out of my car. and i have been in other accidents- not my fault either they were old old people that couldnt see. and yes i hit my head. but i still dont get what makes the government the right to force me to wear the belt when it doesnt harm anyone but myself if i dont or do. unless i get thrown out of my vechile and land on someone or land on another car which is rare. and i have done research i was asking on here to see if there was anything i didnt do ...

 The Youth Sport seems pricey, but most likely worth the price? It is for 18-80 pounds and converts from a forward facing seat to a booster seat. I've got a corvette and think the Recaro would fit the theme will too - but there are not many reviews of the Recaro. Or how well a full sized car seat works in the c5 corvette. I've got the infant seat in their now, which is very convenient. When an adult wants a ride, the infant seat fits in the coupe's trunk. Will the Recaro seat fit back there too? Yeah, we've got a Britax in the other car. I'm more intersted in particulars about the Recaro and/or corvettes. Oh - and the airbag is turned off (some of my adult passengers ask about that...cause the light is on..the light saying the passenger airbag is disabled.) ...

 I recently purchased a Lepera seat for my 883L 06. On the stock seat there is a notch where the "knob" goes into when you install a stock or Harley seat. My question is when I install the Lepera seat am I suppose to remove the "knob" that is attached to the bike to make the seat sit flat? The seat seems to wobble a little .. I have my battery/ oil covers off because they are being color matched so I don't know with them off if thats causing the wobble any help would be appreciated if any one know a thing about HARLEY'S and Seats ...

 Hello~ Hope that everybody had a wonderful Holiday Season!!!! :o) I am 36 weeks Pregnant with our 2nd son. Our oldest son is 3. For the past year our 3 year old, has been in his car seat behind my seat ( The driver seat.) And he knows where his seat is. Now, my hubby wants to put his seat on the other side and put the infant seat on my side. What do you think??? Should we change sides or leave our 3 year old son's seat where it is and put the baby on the other side? Or do we need to put the baby in middle of the car's back seat? ( We live in CA.) Also, our back seat is "dirty" with spilled juice and milk. Do you have a good idea on how to clean it up well??? To make it look as clean as possable with out getting it detailed??? Thanks!  I have a honda civic 2 door 95 model and a 2 year old daugther all car seats I have do not fit and most wont the part that sits on the seat is too big so it sits on the humps of the seat on both sides (if this makes sense) therefore seat is not tight. I was wondering if any one has had any luck putting a forward facing seat in this car and what brand also any one has had luck with a booster seat as well seeing that now they want to pass a law that you have to be in a booster until your 8. There is no way of getting a new car. I got the car before even thought bout having kids. ...
