 XUXA is probably one of the biggest female children star in the spanish speaking world. Her annual income a few years back exceeded $100 million. She has been called the brazilian Madonna, I'm not quite sure if thats accurate or fair for either. But the kids absolutely loved her music and tv show, clothing line, anything with XUXA face on it sold like the proverbial hotcakes. Back in the late 80's or early 90's they tried to market her show in this country and it did not work at that time. No fault on her part because this girl can sing, dance and act (especially in skit form), but more importantly she has a gift to connect with children. I believe that she was simply marketed by the wrong people at the right time or vice versa. Anyway she should still come back here, if only to be seen on/in the US media. ...
