 I am trying to set up a portable satellite dish for use with a TV and receiver in my RV. I was trying to make it work at home so I know what to do when I get to the campsite. I followed the directions that came with the satellite finder and the portable satellite dish. I powered up the receiver which gave me the azmuth and elevation for the satellite dish, but I cannot get the satellite finder to work. It is brand new - a Winegard SF-1000. I attached the coax which I attached to the TV port (I don't know what to call this, but it is where I attach a coax when the camp ground furnishes satellite or cable TV and all I have to do is turn on the TV and it works) on the outside of the RV to the TO RCVR side of the satellite finder, so the satellite finder is between the dish and the receiver.  Subscribing to Cable TV services has become more expensive in my country in Singapore! It costs about US$50 a month for the full package! No kidding!  I'm trying to make the best possible home theater I can get within my budget limits. Of course I'm looking at quality first, style second. Considering the size of the room I'm working with, I was reading on satellite/wireless speakers and thought to myself "no wires showing would be great, and less of a hassle for me". My original plan is to have the speakers next to the TV (set A lets call them) to be wired to the home theater receiver and the 2 satellite speakers to be wireless (set B). Would there be a noticeable latency for the satellite speakers receiving as signal? For example, will I hear a scream on set A and 2 seconds later hear the same scream on set B? Going with latency, let's assume DVDs don't have a latency, but what about videogame consoles?
