Why does the book of Mormon speak of beleivers becoming and calling themselves Christians when the particular passage (Mosiah 4:2) was supposedly written in 124 years before Jesus born in Bethlehem. According to Mormonism. Jesus was supposed to have appeared to the native Americans after his death in Asia, not before.
...
The book of Mormon is in the old english (thou, shall, etc.) I've been told they can't translate it into new english, because it would lose it's meaning. But don't they translate it into other languages (spanish, french, etc). So why can't they translate english to english? I would read it more!
I'm not mormon, and I don't believe it. But I like to read other religions teachings.

Okay So I want to write a book. I have a pretty good idea on what I want the book to be about. So here are my questions. Does anyone have any book writing tips? If so what are they? In your opinion, which would be better to write. A childrens book, a young adult book, or a novelty? Do you know of any websites where I can go to look up book writing tips? Also what would be a good lenght for a childrens book if I were to write a childrens book? a young adult book? a novelty?
Thanks so much in advanced for everyones help. I really appericate it.
Thanks to everyone that has answered my question so far. I do , infact, know what I want to write. I have decided to write a fictional scary or horror story.... I have the first chapter just about done. I have one question though. How many chapters should this book be about. I was thinking about maybe 7 or 8 chapters. Do you think that is a good length?
Once again thank you in advanced for all your help.

I am one of those disgusting people who reads her Harry Potter books over and over... but I would like to start reading a book or book series between now and the release of the last book (which I'm sure I'll read at least 4 times).
I started Anne Rice's Inerview With The Vampire series but am having a hard time getting into the second book.
I enjoy fantasy type books that aren't too far fetched but still fun. I don't care if it is a book recomended for teens or adults, as long as it is a fun read.
I also like books that really make you think.
Please don't recommend any books that are generally read for school purposes- they are all sitting on my book shelves.
Any suggestions are welcome.
