 i have a new xbox 360, with the game rainbow six, now here's my question: how do i save games (my progress on certain levels of games) on this if i do not have xbox live, or an internet connection. second, how do i retrieve saved games if i do not have xbox live, the old systems would have memory cards or save on harddrive, this 360 though, it looks like i can't save or retrieve games unless i'm online, is it impossible to save unless you have xbox live, and say you do have it and you bring your 360 to a friends house and they do not have xbox live does that mean you cannot retrieve your saved game, there has to be a way, right? even the old p.s.2 or old xbox let you save without xbox live, it would save on the harddrive or memory card, can you tell me how to save without, and if i do have xbox live, how do i retrieve the saved levels without being online and if someone else plays the same game, how do they save without overwriting my progress any help would be appreciated ...

 I've recently gotten an xbox 360 for christmas, but it didn't come with a harddrive. I had a original xbox before this, but when i got xbox 360, i assumed you could play xbox games on it too. so i gave my xbox away and still have loads of xbox games. so i tried to play a regular xbox game and it said i needed a hardrive. i got a hardrive and now it's telling me that it doesn't support it and updates may be available. has this happened to anyone already? can you even play regular xbox games on xbox 360, or did i just waste loads of money on a hardrive for nothing? please help. what should i do? ...

 I like to play Halo 2 alot and one day i got Xbox live on my regular Xbox. I started playing and was able to play it all I wanted. Recently I bought a Xbox 360 and proceeded to get Xbox Live gold for it. I attempted to get online but it wouldn't work. I called Microsoft and asked for help. They said that it might be my modem or my DNS settings. I was told to call my ISP (Internet Service provider) Centurytel. I called and asked for my DNS settings. They gave them to me but i still could not play online. I asked others on Xbox.com and some were having the same problem. I finally got the DNS right but now my Xbox Live download will not download. I burned the download to a CD and copied it to my 360 but it still don't work. I am tired of talking to Microsoft and Centurytel so could someone here please help me? I have a 360 and i downloaded an update to get Xbox Live but it won't work. ...

 i have a original xbox and bought a xbox starter kit i didn't know that i needed a credit card since i had a subscription card and since i had a original xbox it was for security purposes with the xbox 360 if you get xbox live do you pay with a credit or do they have prepaid cards so the original xbox doesn't have prepaid cards so with the prepaid subscription i do not need to put in my credit card information so the original xbox doesn't have one but the 360 has one ...

 Ok,so i have a Xbox its about 4 years old and it worked well untill about it reached about its 2 and a half year where it keept on telling me my Xbox games where dirty or damaged when they where in perfect condition(the games where usly brand new).
