 First of all, I have a hp laptop with a 256 mb ram and 50 gb hard drive. I am thinking of dual booting windows xp and mac os x, or deleting the windows xp partition and just install Mac Os X but I have a HP Recovery Partition which is 6 Gb and if I just install Mac Os X on it would it delete the Recovery Partition? I already have the Mac Os X cd, and know how to dual-boot windows xp and mac os x, but I have no clue how to just install Mac Os x and delete the Windows Xp partition. Do I just put the mac os X cd in from the start and just starting downloading it from there or what? I need some help on this... ...

 I made a dual boot Windows-Linux Suse 9.2 pc, and on lcd and a crt monitor it will never get past startup it wont display any graphics, the monitors just either go to sleep or they say signal out of range!. How to fix this so i can use linux again! Software problem? monitor problem? ...

 I am unable to boot windows Xp there is an error displayed as follows- "The following file is either missing or corrupted. C:/ windows/ system32/ config/ system You can try to repair this by pressing r in the main screen after booting the windows Xp CD" I tried to repair this by pressing r in recovery console, by running the chkdsk /p command, but for vain! i get the same error on my next boot. I can see the C:/windows/system32/config/system file in the recovery console, it is not missing! I previously had got the same error two weeks back,so i had format my Windows drive and installed Xp all over again, assuming that i won't get the error in future,but I am getting the same error now! I am quite sure that i had no virus on my hard disk because i had done a full system scan with updated version of Bit defender antivirus before Xp crashed! I am frustrated and fed up with this error!  Ok, I know there are a lot of questions already on here about this, but I think mine is special. I would like to know if I can dual boot Windows XP and Windows Vista if my version of Vista is only the upgrade that was shipped for free, after I bought my XP computer. And if it's possible, how do I dual boot? When I install Vista, what settings do I choose? The reason I want to do this is because my TV Card only works on XP, and some of my other programs work better on XP than Vista, but I really like the programs in Vista, such as the new Movie Maker, and Photo Gallery.
