around what time of the year are there the most cases of drunk driving?
how can teens help prevent drunk driving (other than not drinking and driving)?
how are you related to drunk driving?
how long have you been involved in this situation?
how do/can you assist the families of drunk driving accident victims?
what would you reccommend for teens to do if/when pressured to drink and drive?
no actually, i wasn't looking for someone to do my hw for me, im not an idiot, i was looking for someone to interview at the last minute.
...
I would really like to talk personally to a drunk driving victim, i am doing a project for school and ive already interviewed my friend, but i would really like to have two interviews. I will only talk online.
I want to know how it has affected your everyday life?
What are you doing to fight drunk driving?
How can we save more lives?
thank you very much for your time.

I heard about this local case today on the news.
The police pull over a driver at 1ish in the morning for speeding.
The officer notices a strong smell of "intoxicants" (NOTE: That's what they said; "intoxicants", but there is nothing to suggest it's anything more than the smell of alcohol), and does the sobriety tests including the breathalyzer.
After the tests, everyone agrees that the driver was NOT legally drunk. He was close, but NOT legally drunk.
So he ends up pleading guilty to negligent driving, and is sentenced to 40 hours of community service, has to attend alcohol and drug abuse classes, and has to attend some kind of meeting with victims of drunk driving.
My question is this: why should this driver have to do ANYTHING but pay for a damn speeding ticket?
What is the purpose of setting legal limits for drunk driving if the legal system can ignore them, and punish drivers who have not surpassed those limits?

What is the penalty for a first offense(?) drunk driving?
...
How long does the average person have to go to jail for getting 3 drunk driving tickets?
...
i think that people who do drunk driving and reckless driving should have worse punishments. if a driver kills other people, they only get a few years in prison while the famliy of the people who die have to suffer for a long time. once the drivers get out of prison, theres nothing stopping them from drinking and driving.

My battle buddy was killed in Kentucky because a drunk driver crossed the median and slammed head first into his car. He was a Soldier and off to Iraq tomorrow. How much time will this guy, who was drinking and driving, do behind bars?

I thought it would be wise to ride my bike to the pub instead of driving. I got busted for drink driving because a bike is a vehicle. Is this law ( in Australia ) the same in any other places?

I'm writing a story, and in it the kid gets in a car accident. To work with the plot, I was planning on making him be a little drunk when it occurs. The kid is like 16/17, so he's obviously underage. In real life, if you got into a car accident (he's the only one involved, flipped his car or something) while drunk and under 21 would you be charged with anything? The kids gonna end up in ICU or something in the story.
The drunk driving isn't the main part of the story. I was just going to use it to help this one part of the plot. I don't advocate it or anything. I don't even know if I'll use it, because I don't want the kid getting arrested. The drunk part was actually more for before the accident. I'll just find another way to behave his behavior before the accident.

One night a police officer was staking out a particularly rowdy bar for possible DUI (Driving Under the Influence of alcohol) violations.
At closing time, he saw a fellow tumble out of the bar, trip on the curb, and try his keys in five different cars before he found his. Then he sat in the front seat fumbling around with his keys for several minutes.
By the time he was able to get his car started, everyone else had left the bar and driven off. Finally he started his engine and began to pull away.
The police officer was waiting for him. He stopped the driver, read him his rights and administered the Breathalyzer test.
The results showed a reading of 0.0.
The puzzled officer demanded to know how that could be.
The driver replied, "Tonight, I'm the designated decoy."
I heard it a long time ago, and then came across it online somewhere... Glad you all can enjoy! have a blessed day!

okay, so for my school I am a student leader. This month we are studying the number one killer in teens, car accidents. When someone tells you something like you dont really listen. for example : dont drive drunk, kids just brush it off until one of there peers or family members die in an accident- thats when it hits them. We want to show students that but without the tragedy.
If anyone knows of any ways we can do that please let me know . .
THANK YOU.
