Where did the term "Straight" come from?
If heterosexuals are "Straight" does that imply that homosexuals are "Crooked"?
How does using derogatory labels affect the way people perceive homosexuals?
For example "gay" is a derogatory label because it promotes stereotypes of homosexuals. The def of gay is:
1 a : happily excited : MERRY b : keenly alive and exuberant : having or inducing high spirits
2 a : BRIGHT, LIVELY b : brilliant in color
3 : given to social pleasures; also : LICENTIOUS
Is "bent" any better than "crooked"?

People love straight hair and even women with straight hair spend time and money making it even straighter. I sometimes want curly hair because it looks easier to style and harder to mess up. My very straight hair is pretty easy though because the only thing I have to deal with is flatness sometimes. White women I know have hair that is not truly straight. I's bushy and wavy and when they make it straighter it doesn't always completely straighten out and gets damage from hot appliances. That is not straight hair. Why don't women like this try to curl their hair instead? It would probably hold a curl (my hair is truly straight and doesn't curl). Are they afraid to look black? That is what I think it is. White people have this phobia about blackness. Notice if a white woman has really tightly curled hair she always pulls it back. Maybe this what their men want and we know how white women love their white men. Too bad white men LOVE Asian women (with truly straight hair)!

I have some psychic awareness from straight headquarters that straight men are just as frustrated as gay men. I know it's weird, but it could be true. Although gay men might feel small, wimpy, shrimpy, effeminate, unattractive to the hunks of the world, hunks like feminine energy. Gays like masculine energy. Is there any hope for any man on this world in the attempts to relinquish sexual desires? Obviously, straight men cannot have sex with gay men, and vice versa. Therefore, straight men might hold up big yellow signs with big bold proclamations stating that HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN only because they cannot have sex with homosexuals, and they live in hell because of that, as much as gay men do, for the same reason. Is there an answer for all the men of the world? We try. Straight men have sex with women. Gay men have sex with gay men. In the meantime, we're holding up pictures of the opposite type of men. However, I don't really know if straight men hold up pictures of gay men.

This question is for straight men in particular, but anyone can weigh in. In a reccent interview, syndicated sex columist and author Dan Savage said (edited):
One way the column has changed me over the years is, I feel so sorry for straight guys. Because their sex lives are a terror, and are really circumscribed by straight guys policing the behavior of other straight guys?"Hey, you're a fag"?and by gay guys policing their behavior, and straight women. Paradoxically, straight guys run the world, but sexually, they're so imprisoned and it's not just a prison of their own creation. There's a problem with straight-male sexual identity where it's just a mass of negatives. It's not defined really by anything positive. Being a straight guy is not being a fag, not being a woman, and not doing anything that fags or women do, like have feelings or sit-ups or anything. Half my mail sometimes is just straight guys going, "She put a finger in my butt. I liked it. Am I gay?" because of it.

This question is about me and a new friend i made recently. Were both girls. Shes straight. Im not. After getting to know her i sort of had to tell her that i dated girls (boys too). I had to, it comes up. It wasnt weird or anything.
Anyways, Im wondering if a typical straight girl invites her other straight girlfriends to sleep over (in the same bed)? And, We were watching a movie and she started playing with my hair. Do straight girls do that often to platonic friends? She flirts with me and i flirt back. Would a straight girl invite her lesbian friend over to just come over and sleep? I need to know. Yesterday she had a boyfriend, today she is single. Am i just putting these clues together as wishful thinking or does she want to make out with me? I think she is the hottest thing, I would totally make out with her. Ive even told her that. Do you think that she is trying to jump the fence? How do straight girls tend to jump the fence?

( i am straight but i support gay and lesbian marriages . i do think that a lot of relationship dynamics are universal . However are there some that different do to gender roles )
as a straight male will i have insight into how lesbian relationships work ?
as a straight male can i understand the dynamics of a same gender relationship
as a straight male can i understand the challenges that lesbians face in relationships
as a straight male should i give advice on domestic violence to lesbians
as a straight male would i have a perspective to relate to why lesbians would resort to physical violence
as a straight male would i have any insight at all as to who started the conflict
My questions were to illustrate a point .
I can give advice to anyone that violence is bad .
i can tell a guy not to hit a woman
i can tell a woman to go to the police if a man hit her
Certain things will always be universal .
I can also understand that while some men are @ssholes and deserve to be thrown in jail , there are women who start physical altercations knowing full well that a man being a man will get a bumb rap on defending himself ( a man even in defence should not hit a woman if at all possible .a man needs to be in a situation where he percives serious injury will occur to him such as losing an eye or him being stabbed or his arm being broken before he should hit back. A bloody lip dosent qualify a man to hit a woman .)
i do think straight women and men have some understanding of the dynamics of a relationship that is heterosexual in nature that a lesbian will not .
just as there are somethings i wont know about in a lesbian relationship

Hello. Does anyone know about straight perms? I have a few questions:
1. Does it make your hair perfectly straight? I have hair that isn't quite staright and isn't quite wavy, so will it stay straight even if I sleep with it wet?
2. How much do they cost, at a salon?
3.Is it more damaging to straighten my hair everyday with an iron, or is it more damaging to get it chemically straightened?
4. How long does it last?
5. If you had one, did you like it?
I don't like to wear my hair down unless it is perfectly straight, so I want to get a straight perm.
Thanks.
...
ok heres my problemo:
Ive tried every straightening shampoo, product, gel on the market.... and i cant get it straight....
but
i can with a straightener but it takes like 3 days... of not washing my hair and staraighting to just makie it semi straight...
but its PERFECTLY straight when i get it done at a salon...
but i dont want to go to a salon every day and get it straightened...
so im thinking of getting it permed straight (they have such things as perming ur hair straight)
it lasts about 6 months
so is there going to be any long term damage if i get it straightened every 6 months?
if its straight i can make it curly whenever i want... i do exept my hair and myself... just a note to those ppl that think i dont have any self esteem because i dont like my curly hair *COUGH my mother*

My boyfriend says that Ron Jeremy, former pornographic movie star, was ugly and my boyfriend does not understand why anyone would pay to watch Ron Jeremy having sex. My boyfriend says when he sees a great looking female with an ugly male it makes him say "Why!!!! Universe, what is wrong with You that that lovely woman is giving sex to that less-than-lovely man? Why, I say!!!"
My boyfriend's views made me stop and think. I always thought that straight men did not wish to see gorgeous men as stars in straight porn because it would make them feel inadequate. I thought straight men would want to see an average to ugly looking man as the lead in straight porn so that he, the viewer, could have the illusioon/fantasy "Yeah, I TOO, could have sex with a lovely lady like that even though I am not that good looking."
My boyfriend says he guesses it depends on why/how men use porn as a commodity. So men, what say you about good looking/ugly male leads in straight porn?

I used to have the typical super-straight Asian hair when I was young, and I loved it. But at around 9 or 10 years old, it started to get wavy, and now I have to go get Japanese Thermal permanent hair straightening at a salon just to get back that straight hair.
I love the effects of Japanese Thermal Reconditiong/permanent hair straightening, but the downside to this is that the new hair growth that comes in at about 4-6 months will make it look weird, with the upper part of your head look wavy while the bottom part is pin-straight.
Plus, it costs too much for me to get a retouch for the rest of my life.
Grr. Why does straight hair turn wavy when I got older (I'm almost 16 btw)? Is this part of genetics?
most of my other Asian friends have had straight hair ever since they were born.
...
some people call it either or, so i just made that in the title
anyway, i was thinking about getting a straight perm, my hair is wavy, but its stubborn wavy, and when i use my cermaic straighter, sure it stays straight, for only 5 minutes, im not exaggerating, i can never get it to stay straight, i come out of the shower, blow dry, iron it, and it goes back to the wavyness in less than the next half hour, so i have a few questions:
1)i know its really harsh on your hair, but how long does it take to get back to that not-so-brittle state?
2)does it really stay stick straight?
3)what is it like getting it done?
4)whats the amount it costs on average? for wavy medium length
5)will i still need to straighten it still after i get it done?
6)how long does it last?
7)was it worth it in the end?

So I actually asked a question an hour ago and really my question is leading me to so many other questions.
Why do straight guys get friendly with gay guys???
Yes that is the question I am asking.
I work with a straight guy who I think is a great guy. He know's I'm gay. I know he's straight. See I know straight guys and gay guys can be friends because I have a few straight male friends who I am not attracted to sexually. I say sexually because if you are good friends there's got to be some sort of attraction there. Yes I try to be civil, more than civil, I try to just chill sometimes I'm more interactive with him than others. But the fact is we work together, sometimes he'll come by on nights he doesn't work.

trying not to like the straighty but the guy is just great and I really haven't met anybody else with his personality and glow, you know like the glow that some people have when they speak the infectious one that just makes you feel good.
