What is the most funniest situation you can think of? ...

The Oddfest ? Metro Area #1 Comedy Show ? August 10 2006 Metro area fans of the funny and off-beat are in for a treat this summer as The Oddfest rollicks into town. Be at Mo Pitkins House of Satisfaction (34 Avenue A, New York City, N.Y.) on Thursday, August 10th, at 10:00 p.m. to experience this hysterical comedy show. The Oddfest first made its appearance in 2003 (see www.theoddfest.com for highlights) and this year's show promises to be even more uproarious than the first! Organized by FIDIM Interactive, LLC (www.fidim.com) ? a record label that specializes in comedy and novelty music ? The Oddfest is a celebration of comedy, music and artists that brings together some of today's funniest acts. This year's Oddfest will be hosted by Grammy® nominated singer and comedian Red Peters, host of the weekly Red Peters Comedy Music Hour on Howard Stern's Howard 101. He will be introducing popular comedy acts Sudden Death, Worm Quartet, and Joshua Grosvent. Red Peters (www.redpeters.com) is well known as the Friday night host of the Sirius Satellite radio comedy show bearing his name. His 2004 hit I Can?t Say These Things was nominated for Song Of The Year in the 47th Annual Grammy® Awards. He also had a major holiday hit with the carnal carole Holy S***, It's Christmas! Red's songs may be heard on the radio, in films and during his public appearances. Sudden Death (www.suddendeath.org) is the top comedy rap group today. Their hit Inner Voice from their critically acclaimed album Die Laughing topped the comedy charts in 2005, winning the title that year of Most Requested Song on the nationally-syndicated radio program The Doctor Demento Show. Sudden Death has released six albums, including 2002's wildly popular Fatal Accident Zone. Sudden Death's road show is a multimedia hip-hop experience, synchronizing video and animations into the musically comedic performances. Worm Quartet (www.wormquartet.com) Worm Quartet creates some incredibly strange and wonderfully twisted songs. This creative and funny one-man "comedy electro-punkish band" hails from Rochester, N.Y. ShoEboX, front-man to this musical experience, penned the touching ex-girlfriend ballad Great Idea For A Song, which was the most requested song of 2004 on Dr. Demento. I Bit William Shatner, Frank's Not In The Band Anymore and others became popular comedy hits and many Worm Quartet songs are featured on Dr. Demento's compilation albums. Joshua Grosvent (www.thisisjoshua.com) - Producer of the popular comedy show Comedy is for Humans, this self-proclaimed ?Comedic Songsmith? and his songs have become a staple in the New York City humor scene. Whether he's singing about making love in Senior Citizen Lovin' or about a popular guilty private pleasure in MySpace, his shows are not worth missing. Infusing music with stand-up, improv, technology and audio effects, Joshua's road shows slay rock venues and colleges all over the country with a full-on multimedia experience. Grosvent is currently shooting his very first mini-pilot as well as his first music videos. The Oddfest will be his last appearance in New York City for several months while he tours, so get out and enjoy it!  Hey, As this is an international platform for answers I note some of you may not be familiar with the BBC - Which is primarily a British Broadcasting Channel with hits such as Little Britain and The Office as comedy succeses in recent years. I am 18 and am by self promotion a funny guy and I am transferring this to sitcom...After having seen the trailers for what appear as comedy car wrecks of new pilots this year I thought I could create my own comedy series..........It centres on two men one who is not homphobic but is not cultured to the idea when in fact he discovers his fatter friend is not so much a deviant as a gay man...this is wrapped in awkward situation comedy which I feel would appeal to both straight and gau audiences.....Is this a good premise and if I were to write a clever sitcom what are the chances that the BBC or any other network would even see such a young guy writing and perhaps starring in comedy sitcom??? ...

we need to buy this comedy drama which acted by "Comedy King" S.Ve.Shekar's Num Kudumbam tamil stage comedy plays. give the right website link to purchase this dvd or vcd at very low cost. thanks ...

Hey, ( forgive the Narcism) I am a pretty witty and funny young guy so much so I wanted to forge a career in comedy. For many months whilst finishing school I have entertained people and amazed with my quick wit and acid laced comments. I have been writing jokes and sketch comedy ...... this is where the trouble begins just as I was starting to build a catalogue of jokes & anecdotes (disaster) for about the last two weeks I have been unable to write new jokes....I am okay on situation comedy but as it goes for jokes just nothing....I am aware comedy is a state of mind (perhaps it is my A2 Exams This Week) that are the problem? Yet this is where I fitted in, I was funny really witty and now I can't create jokes anymore??? I would like genuine advice is this it? Did I have something and lost it for whatever reason (?) or is it just something all Comedians/enes have to put up with? Weeks where they just can barely think of material? Please this is really important to me ..... ...

When I went to Las Vegas 4 or so years ago, we went to the Riviera Comedy Club and the main act was Alonzo Bodden (he was absolutely hilarious, and a couple years later he won the Comedy Central's "Last Comic Standing"). Well I'm just wondering if there's a comedy club there thats considered the best, or one of the best. Any suggestions would be great. And we want a comedy club, not a show like Penn/Teller. Thanks For the record we're going Aug 27-31 ...

hello friends, i hope all of you have understand, what i am trying to say now....i need a comedy DVD in Telefilms or stage plays comedy in DVD format. help me to purchase this..... bye ...

I'm what most people call "hard-headed" and a bit of a "prick," so I am entertaining the idea of having a comedy tour of working class guys and gals that don't have the time or energy to become open mic hounds and hope for a chance to do a seven minute guest spot at some corner bar that keeps the money for the thirty seven people required for stage time. Would anyone out there like to see a new brand of comedy that isn't so homogenized and so very corporate. Sorry Comedy Central, but we understand that Frank Caliendo does a decent George Bush impression, but we all probably would have rather seen a show on John Madden. I'm looking for serious comedians from around the country that would be willing to do some footwork in their respective cities to see if we all couldn't make some scratch while getting a chance to travel on our own. I know I'm coming off like the Anti-Christ of comedy, but these holes in my soles and palms are there for a reason. I'm out of Philadelphia! ...

how do you know if comedy is the right career for you - if you are the right temperment? I took some of these tests in these comedy books but I don't know if that means that this is the best thing for me or not. I haven't had that much experience yet, so it's too soon to tell for me. ...

I'd like to find a standup comedy radio show that's broadcast online via streaming audio. Ideally, I'd like to find one or two weekly 1-hour shows, preferably either something taped live at a comedy club or hosted by a DJ (ie, something with a human touch, rather than automated programming). I know there are whole comedy stations on SHOUTcast and elsewhere, but they tend to have a lot of repeats as well as mediocre material. I'm not opposed to some sketch or improv comedy, but that's not what I'm primarily looking for. Bonus points for MP3 streaming, rather than RealAudio or Windows Media format. Double bonus points for British, Australian, or other non-U.S. shows. ...

I need resources on the topic of comedy, and articles (not wikipedia) on the fundamentals of comedy. Things likes the differents types of comedy I can find on wikipedia, but can't seem to find the basics on comedy. ...

On comedy central especially. --Most black comedians are names you never even heard of before then they get 1 hour specials of "White people are so crazy!'' and "brotha be doin' this". It sucks!! --Comedy central sucks altogether, they are way too politcally correct and they won't ever admit it. (look how they censored South Park all those times, and how they censored colin quinn). A black guy comes on and says the N word but colin quinn they bleep it out when he says it! WTF, I thought comedy was about not being politcally correct? I thought comedy was about being funny and not caring who you offend. But it is not just black comedians (there are a few good ones that are actaully funny like pyror) that are bad, theres these other comedians that blatantly rip off jokes from good comedians. Like Jay Mohr. Jay Mohr takes other comedians jokes and re-words it and uses it! --Then the women comics that just tell ex-boyfriend jokes and other hackish things that they all havesaid DannyK, south park is the best show the have. But they censor it (mohammad was bleeped out of it in the recent episode) ...

Does anyone know of any good new movies (esp. comedies)? What is everyones favorite comedy? Family movies will work good, but not necessary. Thanks! ...

I rented a Japanese horror movie last year and it had a preview for a Japanese comedy that looked interesting. Unfortunately, I can't remember which film it was that I rented and I want to find the name of the comedy movie in the preview. The dvd may have been the Japanese "Dark Water" but I am not sure. The preview was for a Japanese high school comedy movie. I am going to guess it came out in the last few years. That is about all I can remember. Does anyone have any ideas? I think I might remember the name if I heard it. Thanks. Desapo Sonyo (Dasepo Naughty Girls) was not the movie - I am pretty sure that it was a Japanese movie. That one looks interesting though! ...
