SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A court has upheld a Las Vegas city regulation barring erotic dancers from raunchy physical contact with their customers, in a ruling that runs counter to the gambling city's sinful reputation.
Nevada's Supreme Court on Thursday reversed two lower court rulings that found the regulation improperly curtailed "expressive conduct" protected by the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment.
The high court judges said that even if the constitutional amendment did apply, its protection was not absolute, and added the city measure helps curtail prostitution, sexually transmitted disease, drug offenses and criminal activity.
The city rule bars dancers from physical contact of a sexual nature with customers.
The decision echoes a ruling by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals last year that backed a California city's regulation requiring at least two feet (0.7 meter) distance between erotic dancers and the audience.
Voters in Seattle took a different view this week, rejecting a measure on Tuesday that would require erotic dancers to stay at least four feet from patrons.
It's not from a newspaper...I logged on to yahoo home page and there the story was...thought it might get a few bites...and sure enough it did...LOL

My wife and I often prefer reading erotic fiction together, rather then watch a porno or go out to a strip club when we are feeling kinkier then usual and want to slowly get aroused together or tease each other without moving directly into foreplay... (the more you drag out your play time the better the end is...) One of our favorite sites, and likely the premier free erotic fiction site on the web is literotica.com..... We've looked for other sites but none even hold a candle to literotica in terms of volume of free material to peruse. We were curious as to whether or not anyone else our there had any recommendations on other free sites which are good sources for erotic fiction... (When I say free, I mean for REAL free, like literotica is, not porno website "free-but-still-give-us-your-credit-card-number" free, but actually free..... Any ideas are appreciated. Grazi.
Honestly, I don't think there will be one half as good as literotica with a paid subscription..... The massive audience makes it the premier for author showcasing..... I'm just looking for anything like it thats even close...

I am looking for a PVC, Latex, or Vinyl gown or dress in the color white. Or a long skirt made of any of the material listed above. Really looking for PVC or Vinyl but will settle for latex. It's for an erotic wedding. Even an 'erotic' wedding dress will do. Just don't have any clue where to look. This is a serious question. I need it in a size Large, or 12/14. Please don't just answer trying to get points! I have never had to look for anything like this before, so I need help on where to start. Would appreciate any help on this matter. I've already done a google search, with not much luck. NOT LOOKING FOR UK sites. This is an order to be placed in the US. This is really a question for someone who is also into the lifestyle and familiar with this sort of apparel. (I hope I classified this right, it's for an erotic wedding so I put it under weddings)

I?m hoping for some thoughtful answers that go beyond the traditional conservative views that equate desire with sin, but I already know that some of you are going to say that erotic desire is only acceptable within the context of marriage?but then I would ask: Is it sinful to feel erotic desire for someone you are dating? Are erotic fantasies ok? If you are basing your views on the Bible (or other holy books), please reference specific scriptures to back up your views. Do you think it is really important to Christian beliefs that Jesus be a virgin? Would it have been impossible for him to be the son of God if he had gotten married? Why? If sex in marriage is a gift from God, why couldn?t Jesus receive this gift? Is there any reason that Jesus shouldn?t have felt erotic desires for women during his life?
I?m not surprised that most answers followed fairly traditional views ? more or less equating erotic desire with sin, or as a distraction from our more important spiritual path. I am disappointed that, although the question has been open for several days, no one has yet stepped up to offer a sex-positive alternative. I think that the oppression of women, and devaluation of erotic energy are connected. The traditional view suggests that erotic desire conflicts with spirituality. I think this is the result of males in ancient history (actually starting in prehistory) deciding that they needed to control female sexuality in order to ensure patrilineal decent. You simply can?t have patriarchy unless you make sure that women stay sexually monogamous with their men. (For the purposes of patriarchy, it doesn?t matter if men sleep around.) In other words, there is a conflict between female erotic desire, and patriarchy.
The result was a devaluation of everything feminine, and the linking of monogamy to spirituality in such a way that erotic desire in general became a result of our? fall from grace.?
The Bible offers contradictory views on the role of women and sex in spirituality, but some passages from Paul clearly show that women are not considered to be equal to men, spiritually. Here is one example:
God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must remain in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. (1 Corinthians 14:33-35)
Here is another example:
In 1 Timothy 2:11-15, Paul wrote that "a woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner."
My point is that literal interpretation of the Bible as the sole source of truth is problematic, unless one wants to bite the bullet and uncritically accept that women are spiritually inferior because it was "the woman who was deceived and became a sinner." The real source of our belief that erotic desire conflicts with spirituality is not any actual conflict between the two, but rather, a conflict between patriarchal social structure and female erotic desire.
I believe that the most healthy, holistic, and wholesome forms of spirituality are those that incorporate erotic desire into spiritual beliefs without devaluing erotic energy. Sometimes this is referred to as erotic spirituality or sacred sexuality. The key is that our erotic desire is a Divine gift, not a consequence of sin or falling from the grace of God.
Forgrat: Your answer demonstrates exactly what I think is wrong with traditional views on the nature of erotic desire. As your answer shows, the notion that celibacy is more spiritual than erotic expression is not the result of any profound insight into truth, but rather, just a sort of manipulation aimed at controlling human behavior. In short, we have been duped by the church. It is an issue of political control, not genuine spiritual insight. Erotic desire IS a form of spiritual energy, and the efforts of political manipulators (going back thousands of years) to divorce erotic desire from spirituality introduce a sort of poison into the process of human self-exploration and growth. Basically, our most intimate and powerful sources of spiritual growth are used to manipulate people into behaving in the way that church authorities (who are essential political figure ? not genuine spiritual allies) want us to behave.
Temple: You gave a very insightful answer, and it is the sort of thing I was hoping for when I asked the question, namely, the opportunity to consider some connections that I might have otherwise missed. I like the way in which you draw the two realms together via touch in a broad metaphorical sense of the term. I think what you say is true: ?Erotic desire is the physical craving to be touched. By man, woman or God.? This is essentially what I?ve been saying for years, and it is gratifying to see that others understand this idea as well. I have chosen to think of divinity in terms of ?goddess? rather than ?god? specifically for this reason ? to remind me in an on-going way that erotic energy is divine energy, and divinity can speak erotically. I would extend the metaphor of touch to self-touch as well. Touch brings tangibility. Touch is foundational to Being. Erotic touch is foundational to Being Whole and Being meaningfully engaged in Existence.

I'm making a website, and while it's not a strictly adult site and is by no means pornographic, I do want to display some of my erotic artworks. Do I have to have a 18 U.S.C. Section 2257 compliance notice? Is artwork exempt from this or any other compliance notices/laws? Do you have to be 18 to view erotic art? I don't think so but my research has been mixed. HELP!

What's the difference between erotic and kinky?
Erotic is when you use a feather.
Kinky is when you use the whole chicken.

Suppose that erotic desire loses all its stigma, so that people are no longer offended, ashamed or embarrassed by sexual activity. Erotic play becomes so totally integrated into civil, public life that having a sex party is just as normal and wholesome as having a Tupperware party, or hosting a Bible study. Now, I want to suggest that in this sort of society, some women might accumulate a great deal of wealth and power. Why? Because without the standard laws and social inhibitions we know today, women would be free to use their sensual endowments to virtually unlimited personal advantage. With no laws against prostitution and no social stigmas associated with sluttery, ambitious women who didn?t mind putting their sexuality to use could gain many social advantages. How would this affect the distribution of wealth and power in society? Could patriarchy survive in such a setting? What would happen to the human race?
roninscribe80 and Eikie: I think you two misunderstand me. I am NOT suggesting that all (or even most) women would use their bodies for economic or political gain. I am saying that most women would have this option, and that a lot of them would take advantage of it. Even if only, say, 2 percent of all women actually did this, that would still be a LOT of women (20,000 in a city of 1 million). I am also NOT suggesting that this is the only way that women can succeed in the world. I am suggesting that even if a very small percentage of women used this power, we might eventually see a significant shift in the balance of power between men and women. I have not real evidence for this idea, and I?m not even sure I believe the idea much myself. I?m just speculating cuz I like to stir up ideas once in a while.
Googolullage: Are you for real? Or are you just having a bit of fun to see if you can rile people up? Would you really like to see humanity get rid of women if we didn?t need them for procreation? If so, you are a bad boy and need a good flogging ? tho I suspect you?d like that ? you kinky bats-terd. In any case, thanks for offering up the radical misogynist view. The scary thing is that unfortunately there probably are some men who actually think this way?sad examples of the human race. But moving on?you point out that many women already use this power. Of course they do! But their numbers and overall impact are severely limited, by traditional social stigmas that impose peer pressure and heap shame on anyone who thinks too liberally about erotic desire ? particularly women who think too liberally in this realm.
My suggestion is that perhaps patriarchy as we know it today came into being in order to limit these options enough to keep women from gaining too much social control. I doubt that it was a consciously planned strategy, but rather, just a natural, unconscious outgrowth of men?s fear, combined with the desire of men to pass name, wealth, and private through male offspring (patrilineal decent).
Andy: From what I can see, a basic difference in male and female sexuality makes it more difficult for average men to wield much erotic influence with women. One example: Men tend to be strongly influenced by visual stimulation ? a beautiful woman has a sort of attractive power, no matter what her social/economic status or personality. Also, men tend to have hero fantasies, so a powerless woman is not a turn-off, and may be a turn-on. Thus even very plain, impoverished, women have more erotic power than the average man. A good-looking man can catch a woman?s eye, but if he doesn?t play his cards right, most women will lose interest in a heartbeat ? physical attraction needs to be backed up. One place where men do have advantage: If a man is rich/powerful, this is a natural aphrodisiac for women and they will sometimes let this power get the best of them. But this favors men who already have power ? not those who are average, poor, etc.
