I also found this ?you know you?re a dog lover when? and found it completely funny and so true! You can find a lot of pet humour at . Enjoy!
You can't see out the passenger side of the windshield because there are nose prints all over the inside.
You like people who like your dog. You despise people who don't.
You are the only idiot walking in the pouring rain because your dog needs its walk.
You keep an extra water dish in your second-floor bedroom, in case your dog gets thirsty at night.
You never completely finish a piece of steak or chicken (so your dog gets a taste, too).
You shovel a zig-zag path in the back yard snow so your dog can reach all its favorite spots.
You avoid vacuuming the house as long as possible because your dog is afraid of the vacuum cleaner.
You make popcorn just to play catch with your dog.
You carry pictures of your dog in your wallet instead of pictures of your parents, siblings, significant other, or anyone else remotely human.
Your dog is the star of your World Wide Web site.
You have 32 different names for your dog. Most make no sense, but she understands.
Your dog eats cat poop, but you still let her kiss you (but not immediately afterward, of course).
You like people who like your dog. You despise people who don't.
You carry dog biscuits in your purse or pocket at all times.
You talk about your dog the way other people talk about their kid.
You sign and send birthday/anniversary/Christmas cards from your dog.
You put an extra blanket on the bed so your dog can be comfortable.
You'd rather stay home on Saturday night and cuddle your dog than go to the movies with your sweetie.
You go to the pet supply store every Saturday because it's one of the very few places that lets you bring your dog inside, and your dog loves to go with you.
You open your purse, and that big bunch of baggies you use for pick-ups pops out.
You get an extra-long hose on your shower-massage just so you can use it to wash your dog in the tub, without making the dog sit hip-deep in water.
You and the dog come down with something like flu on the same day. Your dog sees the vet while you settle for an over-the-counter remedy from the drugstore.
Your dog is getting old and arthritic, so you go buy lumber and build her a small staircase so she can climb onto the bed by herself.
Your license plate or license plate frame mentions your dog.
You don't think it's the least bit strange to stand in the back yard chirping "Meg, pee!" over and over again, while Meg tends to play and forget what she's out there for (but what your neighbors think of your behavior is yet another story).
You match your furniture/carpet/clothes to your dog.
You have your dog's picture on your office desk (but no one else's).
You lecture people on responsible dog ownership every chance you get.
You skip breakfast so you can walk your dog in the morning before work.
You don't go to happy hours with co-workers any more because you need to go home and see your dog.
Your friend's dog acts as Best Dog at your wedding.
Your weekend activities are planned around taking your dog for a hike (both days).
You keep eating even after finding a dog hair in your pasta.
When you get your latest roll of film and there isn't a single picture of a two-legged person in it...

List Of 75 Banned Or Restricted Breeds - Is Your Dog On The List?
The Responsible Dog Owners Of The Western States (RDOWS) has just updated the list of breeds that have been banned or restricted in the U.S..
All you dog lovers out there may just be in for a shock. BSL - or breed-specific legislation and breed discriminstion- isn't just for pitbulls or Rottweilers anymore
The RDOWS has tracked a list of 75 breeds of dogs that have been banned or restricted - yep - that's Seventy-five. That's 75!
Just who or what is behind this breed ban frenzy?
Is your dog on the list of banned or restricted breeds?
Here's the deal...............
Media Frenzy Equals Breed Bans
And just who is pouring gasoline onto the fire, whipping up the flams of pit bull hysteria? Who is driving the onslaught of anti-dog legislation?
Your local paper, TV or radio station - with innacurate reports than use inflammatory language ("vicious" Rottweiler, "marauding" pitbulls, etc.) and show UNRELATED footage of dogfights supplied by the Humane Society of the United States.
Across the country - and indeed around the world - cities, counties and local town councils are busy banning or restricting breeds instead of punishing irresponsible behavior.
Here's what is happening:
Breed bans - an outright ban on owning a specific breed of dog
Breed-specific sterilization - owners are forced to spay or neuter animal
Breed-specific
Breed-specific insurance requirements - forces owners to obtain the unobtainable "vicious" breed insurance - in reality this forces owners to surrender dogs or move
Weight or size restrictions - banning dogs over an arbitrarily determined weight or size - as in Fairfield, Iowa where all dogs over 100 lbs are banned (St. Bernard, Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane, etc.)
BTW - your insurance company is happily waiting in the background too - waiting to exclude coverage of your dog, waiting to drop your policy, or waiting to outrageously raise your rates.
So - without further ado, courtesy of the RDOWS, here is the list of 75 - count 'em - SEVENTY FIVE - banned or restricted breeds .....................

I do not understand why my doggie is behaving badly? Could it relate to the visits to the pet-smart, where he leaned from other dogs on how to disobey the rules?
About a week of so ago, my pup started to go wee wee at one spot where was not the wee wee spot where I trained him to go. I read from some dog book, they said that the dogs have the tenancy of marking their territory to show other dogs that they are in a gang.
I do not want him to go wee there, but for some reason he sometimes still goes. (Even I was right next to him)
Any advises on how to put a stop to this?
Oh, my dog is a 7 months old, Pomaninan/ American Eskimo. 20 ibs.
I do not walk to dog, but I let him freely wonder around my apartment. Pls. Do not write back and talk me that I should walk the dog, and let the dog play with flees outside and catch some diseases and pass it to me. I like to keep my pets clean as possible, and that is why I feed a small sized dog. Since I am mentioning about small dogs... have you even seemed people?s dogs at a dog store? I recall one visit at the Pet Smart. I saw a dog? s size as a horse, and the dog is 3times bigger than this petite woman. I can?t imagine when it comes to telling the horse dog to behave... who controls whom?
Anyway, going back to what I was talking about . . . Why would you want to walk a dog and bring in dirts, viruses, bugs into your home? Unless you are a filthy person then it is explainable.
I have seemed this dog owner walked his bull dogs in the woods one night I was jogging, Again I said to myself, yes those pit-bulls were having fun, enjoying the best time of their lives, but when they return to their home
and cuddle with the humans, and transfer whatever they caught in the woods. Is that good for your health?
If you say ?yes? then why don?t you walk like a dog next time when you walk your pet? That way, whatever dirts your pet gets . . . you can get too! Especially, human spits! Humm... that is really clean!
And don?t write and tell me that I am a clean freak, who is afraid of germs, because I am not... I have my limits!

Temperatures are rising. Please provide your dog, or any pet that you have, with plenty of water and shade. If you don't the following will happen. If you care about your dog at all, read the following:
What Climbing Temperatures Mean for Dogs
The ?dog days? of summer pose a particularly dangerous threat to ?backyard? dogs: heatstroke. Many people know about the danger of leaving dogs inside cars during the warm summer months, when temperatures can climb to well above 100°F in just a matter of minutes.
But for backyard dogs chained outside and deprived of water, shade, and ventilation, the threat of death has nothing to do with cars?even though they might be tethered to an old jalopy. Baking in the summer sun in a barren yard?day after day, week after week?takes its toll and kills many of these animals.
Beating the Heat
Beating the summer?s oppressive heat is extra tough for dogs, because they can only cool themselves by panting and by sweating through their paw pads. Heatstroke can occur quickly and can result in brain damage or a gruesome death that?s often preceded by panic and seizures.
If you know of a backyard dog in your community, why not do what you can to make his or her life a little better? The following are some simple tips for helping backyard dogs in warm weather:
Let the owners of these forgotten animals know that a dog?s needs for water and shade are especially urgent during the summer months.
Ask them to give their dogs fresh water twice a day, or offer to do so for them.
Urge them to let their dogs inside during heat waves, much like some owners do during spells of bitter-cold weather during the winter.
If your dog isn?t allowed to be a part of your family, why not change that, starting today, by keeping him or her inside with the rest of your loved ones, at least while the weather is dangerous?
Signs of Overheating and How to Respond
Watch all dogs for symptoms of heatstroke, such as restlessness, excessive thirst, heavy panting, lethargy, lack of appetite, dark tongue, rapid heartbeat, fever, vomiting, and lack of coordination. If a dog shows any of these symptoms, get him or her into the shade immediately and call animal control or the police (if the dog is not your companion) or your veterinarian (if the dog is your companion). Lower the animal?s body temperature gradually by providing water to drink; applying a cold towel or ice pack to the dog?s head, neck, and chest; or immersing the dog in lukewarm (not cold) water.
There are countless other ways that you can improve the life of an ?outside? dog?these dogs truly need every friend that they can get.
