 CANTON, Ohio -- A police officer accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend and her nearly full-term fetus made his first court appearance Monday and was ordered held on $5 million bond. Bobby Cutts Jr., 30, was expressionless as a judge reviewed his case. He stood behind a window separating him from the courtroom, with his girlfriend's family seated a few feet away. Jessie Davis, 26, was missing for about a week before her body was found Saturday in a park. Cutts is the father of her 2-year-old son, and Davis' relatives have said he is the father of the baby girl she was due to deliver July 3 and planned to name Chloe. Davis' mother, Patricia Porter, stood in the front row of the courtroom and stared at Cutts as he surveyed the audience. Porter held the hand of daughter Whitney Davis while she stood glaring at Cutts. "I just wanted him to see us, to know what he's done to our family," Whitney Davis said later. "I'm just disgusted with him." Porter stood again when one.. Cutts' attorney, Bradley Iams, declined to discuss details of the charges against his client or anything Cutts said to him during the court appearance. He said it was too early to say whether a trial would have to be moved out of Stark County, and that he was not surprised by the bond amount. Cutts, arrested Saturday, is accused of killing Davis and the fetus June 14 at her home in nearby Lake Township. Davis' mother last spoke to her daughter a day before authorities say she was killed. Davis was reported missing after the mother found her grandson home alone, with bedroom furniture toppled and bleach spilled on the floor. The boy, Blake, gave investigators some of their first clues, saying: "Mommy was crying. Mommy broke the table. Mommy's in rug." Determining the cause of death will take weeks because of advanced decomposition, the medical examiner's office said Monday. The office will test the paternity of the fetus, and conduct toxicology and DNA tests and a skeletal analysis. Ohio law allows a murder charge against someone accused of killing a fetus that would have been able to live outside the womb. Authorities have not said what led them to Davis' body, about 25 miles from her home, in an area of a national park with a dirt road, a small dirt parking area and a couple of benches overlooking a grassy field. Thousands of volunteers searched for Davis for several days in the area around her home. The sheriff's office, which is leading the investigation, has not released further information about the obstruction of justice charge against Ferrell, who was arrested Sunday. Her attorney did not comment to reporters after the hearing. Cutts is married and has a daughter with his wife. He has said he and his wife are separated and that she knew about his relationship with Davis. Iams said Cutts was suspended without pay Monday by the Canton police department. Cutts also has a 9-year-old daughter with another woman, Nikki Giavasis, who now lives in Los Angeles. The two lived together for a while, but when she began seeing another man in 1998, Cutts was accused of breaking into her home while she was inside with former NBA player Shawn Kemp of the Cleveland Cavaliers. -----SPURS RULE------ Cutts pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge and was sentenced to three years' probation. Giavasis told police she feared for her safety. The pair are involved in a custody dispute. Giavasis told The Associated Press they were together about four months, and confrontations began after she broke off their relationship. Giavasis said the two had several physical confrontations.  I've been reading around and a lot of people are saying UC Davis is not necessarily a "good" school for pre-med since mostly it's agricultural when compared to other schools like...believe it or not...and with all due respect....UCSB Some even rank UC's as : 1) berkeley 2) UCLA 3) UCSD 4) irvine 5) UCSB(are you kidding me) 6) UC Davis this is ridiculous....I thought UC Davis had much more reputation than people accredit them for, especially the pre-med "program" (if that's what you'd like to call it) Am I wrong? or is this true? so pre-med students at UC Davis should be a bit pessimistic towards their medical school goals?!? and I've found out that many med students come out from UC Irvine and Davis is ranked like 3rd or 4th...are all my statistics wrong? Am I wrong? ...

 One of the history teachers at my school were having a bet with us that there has been a black president in the United States. We made the bet that he's wrong, yet he said that this "president" wasn't an OFFICIAL one. Upon further interrogation, he said "think the president of the Confederate States of America".  I'm a senior in high school and I have to choose between UC Davis, SFState, or USF and I've decided that I want to take up either pre-med or nursing. I don't think UC Davis has a nursing program, but I was wondering if it has a pre-med, etc. major that could steer me on the right path to becoming a nurse or doctor? USF and SFState have nursing programs, but i really want to go to Davis. I just don't know if it has any program for me that would lead me on my chosen career path.  Uc Davis or UCLA? Uc Davis or UCLA? I already got into UC davis. But I was thinking of going to a local junior college and then transfering to UCLA afterward because UCLA is better in health science. I have b's and c's in community college classes that I took during so I'm worried it would affect my GPA in junior college and my GPA would be too low to even get into UCLA. What should i DO? ...

 My dream is to go to UC Davis and study veterinary medicine. Currently, I am a freshman in a CSU school. I have not declared a major because for some reason I am intimidated from doing so. I looked over the UC Davis website and saw that most people who are admitted into the universities veterinary program are Biology or Chemistry majors. So I have decided to declare myself a Biology major before the end of the month. I would like to know if anyone has any experience in transferring to UC Davis from another school to take part in their veterinary program. Do you have any advice for me? I have spoken to my advisor and she has told me that I need to contact the school and start building a relationship with them. Does anyone who has attended the school know anyone that I should contact that might be nice enough to give me some advise? Perhaps a professor you liked while you attended school. I have tried contacting the large animal clinic and the small animal clinic as well as the dean?s office to ask them if I am making the right decision by declaring my major, but I have not had any luck getting through to anyone.
