 Where can i buy EXOTIC praying mantids in the USA? I'm looking for preferbably larger species. A list of species as follows: Giant Malaysian Praying Mantis, Giant Indian Mantis, Giant Malaysian Shield Praying Mantis... or at least ones OVER 65 mm or 2.5 inches ...I know about the chinese mantis...those are common here in the US...also a website would be great too! ...

 my friends praying mantis wouldn't eats its food so it ate its own legs so i fed it to my praying mantis and she/he ate him/her. should i have buried it or feed it to my manits. ...

 My friends 1 yr old daughter was walkin outside and stepped on a praying mantis it stratched her foot up and left a blood dot.I thought this was very strange she said the prayin mantis latched onto the babys foot.she said now the babys foot is hot and getting swollen they ended up killin the insect illoked it up and found out that they do bite and in rare cases allergic reactions.Shes takin the baby to the doctor right now.anyways the point is anyone ever had this happen b4 or heard of it?any answers appreciated If I was there i wouldnt have killed it i think shes reatrded for killing the praying mantis.I yelled at her ...

 Doesn't modern science classify praying mantises as "insects"? And aren't insects defined as small animals that have six legs? And aren't legs lower limbs used for mobilization? But somehow, I find it odd that whenever I've seen a praying mantis walking, it's only using four of its six supposed legs. Then I remember reading in the bible something about insects that "go on all four" , which seems to be a fairly accurate description of praying mantises. Why does it seem that the bible has gotten this right, but not modern science? XD? "Uh, the Bible doesn't say 'praying mantises,' it refers to ALL insects as being four-legged."
