What is the differences between the Mexican and the American stratocaster. I know the price is a difference but I was wondering about the bridge and the pickups. I ultimately want to know which one is worth purchasing. ...

I have a Candy Apple Red Fender Stratocaster (a real Fender, not a Squier) (made in Mexico), w/ the upgraded pearl pick guard, in good condition (I bought it 3-4 yrs ago brand new). I would like to sell it on eBay, but I have NO idea how much it would sell for. It would come w/ a nice hard case (Studiologic Flight Case). Here is a pic of the guitar: (It looks just like that but it is not the special 48th street custom as pictured) Here is a pic of the case: is the same exact one) Thanks in advance. ...

is the fender starcaster just a cheaper verson of the fender stratocaster? in the fender starcaster website it says: "The Starcaster electric guitar packs include a great-looking, great-sounding Stratocaster® guitar, with features including a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood or maple fingerboard, three single-coil pickups with 5-way switching, a synchronous tremolo bridge, die-cast tuners and chrome hardware. Starcaster electric guitars come in a variety of stellar finishes including Black, Black Metallic, 3-Color Sunburst and dazzling Black Cherry Burst with a flame maple top." i wasn't sure if it was a stratocaster or not (it looks like it is though). here's the link to the site ?display_article=1 Anyways, please answer and thank you for your answers! ...

I was tuning my guitar earlier and apparently I went a little overboard and my High 'E' string snapped off (near the top, not bottom). I'm assuming that I can't connect the 2 back together and will have to buy new ones. What kind of strings am I supposed to get? I have a Fender Stratocaster but I am unaware of the string name/type. Also, if you know - how do I take old strings out and put new ones in? Is it hard? Thanks ...

I currently own a Fender Standard Stratocaster. It is equipped with three single coils. As I play heavier-sounding guitar, I prefer hot humbuckers. I am wondering, are all the electronic components (minus the jack) attached to the pickguard? If so, could I simply swap out that pickguard and electronics and replace it with a pickguard with humbuckers? I do know that it may be unorthodox to do it that way, but I primarily play bass and don't want to purchase a second guitar, since this one holds some sentimental value, lol. ...

I have a mock model of the fender stratocaster, (the one from the 70s.) But i kind of want one of those ebony les paul jrs like ray toro or billy joe armstrong have. should keep mine? or save up for the les paul...... ...

I have a Fender Stratocaster to learn guitar on, as I'm primarily a bassist, but use the Strat to record sometimes. However, I've been wanting a Telecaster for some time now, and suddenly my guitarist wants me to play rhythm guitar in addition to bass. Also, Telecasters are on sale at my local guitar store. It's an amazing coincidence. Anyway, if I buy the Telecaster, I'm going to sell my Stratocaster. Can someone give me a good idea of how much I can get for it? I've only had it for a few months, and other than the strings, everything is in factory condition. It sounds exactly the same as when I bought it. There's a barely noticeable knick on the headstock. I know I'll probably get a really low price for it at Guitar Center if I exchange it there, and I don't know if my local store buys used instruments. Still, I want to get a feel for how much it's worth. It's a standard Stratocaster, with a list price of about $700. I seem to remember getting a good deal at guitar center for it, but I can't remember the exact price. I paid anywhere between $450-$650. No, it's not a Squier, it's a standard Mexican-made Fender Stratocaster. The color is Midnight Wine. I guess the value may be upped by the fact that it's got the Diamond Anniversery button on the back of the headstock, which is only on guitars made in 2006. I mean, that's not so great now, but in a couple years... ...
