Ok so my newest reef tank is about 5 mounths old. I have corals from mushrooms, star polyps, xenia, button polyps and a few sps frags I threw in. I have 2 leather corals also in this tank. One is a fiji leather and the other is a finger leather. Now I recently put the fiji leather in and it is at least 6" from the finger leather. It appears they are adversly effecting each other though. I have watched them with the lights out and the trailers from the fiji do not touch the finger leather at all. I have altered the currents in the aquarium so the finger leather is not downstream of the fiji anymore but it still appears they are at odds. I really want both of these in the same tank and their placement is perfect for color and general look of the tank. Anyone ever experience a difficulty keeping these leathers this distance from each other? I was considering moving the finger leather down about 4" but keeping it in the same general location to see if that makes a differance.

I am an animal rights actavist and was recently horrified to find that the pair of Kswiss shoes I own, aparently have leather on them somewhere. I am not sure where but acording to there website there is a small part of leather on the upper part of the shoe. I have however heard that most shoes are not really made of leather and that they just call it that. How do I really know that it is leather on them and not just some sort of fabric. I mean come on they cost like $50 I highly doubt shoes with leather would be that cheap. But then again I obviously do not buy leather things so I wouldnt really know.
Also. Does anyone know where I can buy fahionable shoes that are unleather. Both athletic and dress. My son plans to start at a private school this year which requires him to have black dress shoes, I am not sure where I can get really nice ones that are non leather, there has got to be someplace. Thank you.

1. Fav type
2. Why it's your favorite
3. Most interesting thing owned of said favorite
4. Best two-some combination
Yes I realize most anyone has asked the question of 'leather or lace.' So I pose a bit more general question ;)
1. My favorite is leather
2. I LOVE the smell of leather... to the point of going to a mall and standing outside the Wilson's Leather Outlet and just inhaling like a nut.
3. Leather underwear... it's not as hot as you'd think
4. Leather and silk is my favorite two-some combo... there's just something about the two together...

I'm a Hindu, and we have great respect for cows, which is why we don't eat beef. But I also know that leather is made from cows. Is all leather made from cows? Do they kill cows simply to make leather? I don't know if I should even wear leather anymore. I guess that my main question is: Is all leather made from cows, and do they kill cows to make leather? Thanks for everyone taking the time to answer.

My car has leather seats. It used to have a nice new leather smell but it faded in a few years. How can I get a "new leather" smell back using something like a freshener? Like the leather you smell in a Caddy or something. I've tried the "leather" tree air freshener but its smells like old vintage leather.

Hello,
Can someone school me on boot leather. I am looking for a pair of MEINDL boots that are made with "split leather" and i have heard recently that this is not the best leather to use on boots.
Which i find contradicting as MEINDL makes some of the highest quality boots out there.
"Full grain nubuck" leather is also another advertised boot leather that i'm curious about
if someone knows ups/downs to both that would be great.
Thanks so much
I have heard that the split leather gives boots a suede-like finish, allowing them to absorb a lot of water. Once this water starts to dry out, the boots turns very hard, and shirinks as well
anyone know if that is true?

Girls, I want to know what pieces of leather do you wear. Do you wear leather jackets, leather coats, leather pants, leather skirts, leather dresses, leather tops, or leather boots?

Our forest green leather sectional sofa is almost 10 years old, and has seen a lot of use, but not abuse. The leather of the seats has a crazed look, as if the green finish has separated from the leather, perhaps.
I would like to restore the sofa leather to look fresher and consistently the same color. I have used mink oil, neat's foot oil, and a leather treatment I got at the shoe store, but nothing's changed other than the leather is a little more supple.
Is my next logical step to find a green shoe or leather dye? The seat cushions are not removable, and I do not want to use something which will rub off on people's clothes as they sit down.
Until the mild crazing appeared, I had used only a damp cloth on the sofa, no oils or any other kind of treatment. I have no intention of replacing my sofa.

I just found a beutiful leather sleigh bed online. It's made of Bicast leather, and when I looked this kind of leather up, it said that it is plastic lamenated onto leather. It sounds kind of cheap and I read it may be prone to cracking. Does anyone have any Bicast leather furniture? How does it wear? Does it look cheap? Any comments would be appreciated.

What are your thoughts on leather? Me I happen to love leather and I wear lots of it when I go out with my boyfriend, I own 1 black knee length leather coat, 2 leather blazers (1 black and 1 maroon), 1 black full length coat, 2 black leather skirts, 1 pair of black leather pants and 3 patented leather boots (1 black, 1 brown and 1 tan).

Just out of curiousity, I made a fire and tossed different items into it jsut to see if and how it would burn. The one thing that really stood out was an old leather handbag. As soon as it hit the flames, it began to shrivel up and twist. The shoulder strap was also leather, and it moved and flopped around as if it were alive and in pain. LOL! I thought maybe it was just something about that handbag. Then I tossed a pair of leather shoes and a leather belt into the fire, and they went berzerk. The belt went crazy twisting and squirming like a snake. It looked somewhat amusing. What could possibly make leather do that?

I want to purchase a leather living room group, but have discovered there are alot of companies that manufacture leather furniture, but there aren't many, apparently, that are using really good, comfortable, durable leather. What companies should I consider?

I took my vehicle to the dealer for repair of a small tear in the leather seat. I was told by the service manager that the seat could not be repaired because it has silacone in the leather has anyone ever heard of this and also if I was sold a leather seat is this false advertisement because I paid 3-4000.00 extra for a leather package on my H3 Hummer. Now they are telling me that it has silacone in the leather what does this mean does anyone know.

Leather treatment? sofa restoration?
I?ve just bought a 2nd hand huge leather Chesterfield sofa with a genuine distressed leather look and some tiny cat scratches. I was told to get some leather treatment on it, but have absolutely no idea were to start.
Any top tips anyone?
