 I understand the legacy support, but does anyone have any actual usage metrics or manufacturing/business reasons to justify this? I know the reason (see original question -- legacy support). I am looking for a link to a cost/benefit analysis or some metrics that explain why. Besides the fact that it makes my PowerBook look cooler than HP laptops in meetings. ;) ...

 I'm planning to buy one next year for college and I don't know which one to buy. I grew up with PCs and I am familar with Apples. I know i shouldn't base it on looks, but the applebooks look so cool and hip. But Macs are more expensive. I know macs dont really get virus but PCs do. couple things to add: I'm not going to major in anything with music ( i know Macs are good for that) and i'm not an intense gamer (for PCs).
