 Hi-I am looking for an MP3 player that features great playback quality through a speaker (not through headphones.) I record songs on my computer and like to play them for my friends. Right now I have to burn the songs to a CD and take them over. I would like to put the MP3 of my songs on an MP3 player, and play them that way. I do not want to my friends to have to put on headphones to hear the songs, because I like to listen with them. I also do not want to plug the MP3 player into a stereo. I am looking for a stand alone MP3 player. Quality is the main concern here. Is there an MP3 player that has a great speaker that can play my songs? I also like to play the songs at a decent volume.  I've got a whack of songs on MP3 (500+), and have been making audio CD's from them for playing on car stereo's, and my personal stereo (which is old & doesn't play MP3's). I want to copy the MP3's however, as they are, without converting them into an audio file, for the purpose of playing them in MP3 compatible stereos. How can this be done? I just kind of taught myself everything I know about computers, and still can't figure this one out. So to be perfectly clear, how do I copy MP3's onto a disk, keeping them in the MP3 format?  Hello, I was given and mp3 player from a friend who got it free...so yes it is probably a crappy mp3 player but I still want to use it until it craps out but here is my thing. She got this mp3 player free from work and it literally has no brand on it. I put the driver in and it has tools on it called--Mp3 player disk tool, AMV convert tool and AMV player and a sound convert tool... How do the heck can get basic songs on this thing if you have any ideas I am willing to try and I would appreciate it. If it helps music formats excepted are: mp1, mp2, mp3, wma, wmv, asf, and wav.  Is mp3 better than wma as far as sound quality? I just got an mp3 player and it says that it can hold 240 songs on mp3 and 480 on wma. Does this mean that wma sound quality is worse?  Mp3 player and computer question? Ok 2 of my kids got mp3 players for xmas. I know how to upload music on it, but I have a question about the "safely remove hardware" icon. Once I put music on one mp3, i have to double click an icon on my toolbar that says safely remove hardware(its a little green arrow). I need to do this before pulling the mp3 out of my computer usb port. The problem is , that icon disappears and i need to use it again to upload music on to the 2nd mp3 player, I want to know how to find this on my computer without having to restart my computer to get the icon back on my toolbar. Its says mass storage device in a box after i click on the green arrow icon. What do i click on my computer files to find this??? I have windows XP. Thanks I wish the icon did pop back up after putting in the 2nd mp3 , but it didnt. So I been restarting my computer to get it back on the toolbar, but what a pain that is. Both mp3's are identical ones. ...
