Well 2 years ago my friend and I went to Germany to meet a close friend of ours. We were only 14 at the time and we had to stop by Atlanta before going to Germany. Once we reached Atlanta we asked one of the airport workers if she could help us with something, she just looked at us and walked off. Then we tried another person and he just didn't put an effort at all of trying to help us. From my first impression Atlanta is a rude place, and everyone has a certain look there that makes it seem even more rude. Is it just me or is Atlanta like this everyone else? All the airplane workers that shrugged us off and ignored us were black, I'm not saying black people are rude, I know plenty of black people who are great. But in Atlanta it was horrible. uhh I don't know why everyone's assuming I'm white, I'm asian. Denise I even stated I know a lot of great black people, it was that JUST in Atlanta all of the black workers were rude pretty much the whole time. I am in no way stereotyping, I just got a very bad first impression of Atlanta. ...

Also why don't they like one another. I know it's a rivalry of the Empire State and Empire state of the south, but why? Anyways, I perfer Atlanta, I was born and raised in the southern city with an incredible history and amazing sights, where as New Yorkers accents are a little annoying and they can have a bit of an attitude. And they think people in Atlanta are just country slumbags, but that is not true, Atlata a city just like any other, not a town, big diffrence. Places like Savannah and Macon GA are big towns with country accents and lifestyles. The dialects are very diffrent in GA, whereas every New Yorker I hear talk has the same annoying one and they come from all diffrent parts. I do have a few friends from up New York but not many and the ones I am friends with have made Atlanta their home and don't plan on going back so. New York may get more attention, but If I had to choose between the two, Atlanta would be my first pick, no doubt. ...

My cousin and I were recently discussing living in atlanta, and we were saying how boring it really is. Both of us are from the north DC/NYC, and while atlanta maybe less in the living cost; its just flat out boring. I've gotten used to the clubs and all, but beyond that I don't really see anything that's all that. Its hard finding a job paying anything worthwile; and the men well please! Do I need to go there. lol. After school am thinking of going back to NYC or even DC (the real black mecca) lol. Someone told me once if your young and wanna party go to atlanta, but if you wanna be a professional go to NY. Anyone feel the way I do Atl ain't all that!! ...

We're going on Vacation the first week of June. The plan is to leave Indiana on the evening of (Thursday) May 31st. If we leave around 5:00 - we'll probably stop around Chattanooga and get a hotel room. If we leave around 7 AM - we should hit Atlanta around 9 AM - will we miss rush hour traffic? Also, if we can get by with leaving earlier - the plan is to get to Atlanta before checking in to a hotel. This will, of course, mean getting to Atlanta around 11 PM. Am I correct in assuming that the traffic won't be bad at this time? ...

I am an 18 yr old male, and i was born and raised in Queens,New York, but 3 years ago i moved To Atlanta,Ga, where I'm still residing at the moment. I miss New York alot, because, i like the entertainment, the diversity, and transportation. Everything in Atlanta is kinda spaced out to me, and kinda slower compared to NY, don't get me wrong Atlanta is a beautiful place, especially for the cost of living, and the club scene, but i am young, and love fun, and i feel somewhat trapped in Atlanta. I'm going off to college this year, and planning to move back to NY in september, some people tell me to make the move and others say don't, but i wanna move back to Atlanta when i turn around 22 or if make more money. So i need advice should i make that move back to NY? ...

NYC! People say that NYC is too busy and crowded. Remember that there is Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island that has it's residentual areas. It's more exciting, the food is good, this is where all the celeberties hang out. I think New York is way better. It's a better mix of people than Atlanta. Atlanta is cool but ya'l act like it's the only city in the world. Specially these damn rappers. Always be holding up the A sign. Come on man. One day you won't even be able to close your fingas togeha. But Atlanta is kind of a slow moving, more layed back place. Where here in New York you can run up and down Manhattan, or chill out in the Bronx or outer Brooklyn. ...
