I?m in weight training and my hands are getting destroyed by the bars. Gloves are great protection, but there expensive and a pain for my hands. So I?m going with the idea of a bandage wrap.  help i want to know before my fight ...

ok basically i bought a pair of handwraps from argos, there's no indication of length or anything, either way bought them (probably got ripped off too knowing adidas) no guide / how to on how to wrap your hands Went to a few websites which showed handwrap techniques, i run out of wrap about 10 steps too soon. Is there some kind of mirical wrap where i get enough support without as many rotations around my hand? And on another note on this, its not like i have giant hands either (pretty girly hands infact) Anyone else bought the adidas hand wraps and had this problem? Also, i actually bought these because i had a few problems with injuring my wrist slightly while practicing a few of the punches. I do kickboxing, not that it makes much of a difference but i figured i'd put it out there. Thanks in advance. ...

I know boxers are supposed to wear hand wrap around their wrists and knuckles while hitting a heavy bag, but what can happen to their hands if they do not wrap them up? I just don't see how thin hand wrap helps anything while wearing gloves. Thanks for ANY info! ...

First off I don't know why Trinidad agreed to this fight? It's obvious to anyone and everyone that knows anything about boxing and know anything about anyone of these guy's career. Trinidad will get completely embarrassed in this fight, and possibly hurt badly! Trinadad is coming off a long lay-off, and will be rusty to say the least. Is money that important to him at this point? Now on to my question!! Has anyone heard about Trinidad's "illegal" hand wrapping techniques? If so, has anyone heard about if Roy has mentioned anything about this? I'm sure Roy's aware about this, right!? Here's a little of what I could find on what I'm referring to. Boxing trainers and opponents of Trinidad later claimed that the fashion of hand wrapping in Trinidad's hands gave the boxer the equivalent of brass knuckles. Claiming that if wrongly folded the wrappings, especially when dipped into water and allowed to dry, became rock hard. These boxers and Hopkins' trainer also stated that this was the real reason Tito's famous left hook was so effective. ...

I just started using the heavy bag for a workout and I really enjoy it. My problem is, I don't know a thing about boxing equipment. It took several weeks and very sore hands/wrists to figure out that I needed hand wraps. Now I'm not sure what type of gloves to use. My first pair have ripped near the palm and I just received the new pair that I ordered. These new ones appear heavy duty, but when trying them out, my hands feel very unsupported inside of them. When I ordered them, the Internet site suggested (based on my weight of 220) that I needed XLG. But I have a feeling that XLG is just too big. I've thought about using 180" hand wraps and really bulk up my fist, and then try using the gloves; do you think this will work, or should I just order some smaller gloves. Note: I've currently been using the 108" wraps, but just recently learned that that size is normaly for youth/women. Thanks for the help. ...
