I am conducting a survey for my AP US History class that will be used to determine the general opinion of the populace towards the events that unfolded regarding the Nixon Watergate Scandal. Participants are asked to be at least of the years 50+ and have some sort of first-hand opinions towards the questions. I don't have easy access to first-hand knowledge.
1. What do you remember most about Nixon's presidency?
2. When Watergate first surfaced did you believe it was true? Why?
3. How did you react when you heard the evidence against Nixon?
4. What role do you think the media had in the Watergate affair?
5. How did you feel about Nixon's resignation?
6. What do you think would have happened if Nixon hadn't resigned?
7. How politically active were you in the 70s?
8. What did you think of Nixon Prior to the Watergate Scandal?
9. Explain how your view of Nixon changed or didn't change after the Watergate scandal.
10. Can you compare the Watergate scandal to anything recently?
Thanks.

I have read a lot about the Black Sox scandal of 1919 and I just reread the Ginger Kid which is the biography of George "Buck" Weaver. What struck me about it was that Weaver was banned for life for "guilty knowledge", not taking money or actually participating but "guilty knowledge." Zoom to our times - how many MLB players have "guilty knowledge?" According to Conseco, a lot, including the ownership which is the same scenario of the 1919 Sox. Gambling was RAMPANT in those days. McGraw tried to get Hal Chase banned from the game and FAILED and Chase was a known ballplayer who accepted bribes to throw games. How is this different from what is going on today? Isn't today's steroid scandal rocking MLB the same way the Black Sox scandal did in 1919, 1920 and 1921? This question is meant for serious baseball historians - people who know enough to tell the similarities and the differences. Watching "Eight Men Out" is nice but doesn't answer the question.
it involved one team for the World Series, yes, but gambling was a well known part of baseball at that time with owners calling the gamblers at their ballparks "sportsmen." It was as well known in baseball circles then as steroids is now.

Eliot Spitzer Sex Scandal: I am still trying to find inforation to support my claim as to why former NY Governor, Eliot Spitzer should not be federally charged for being involved in this scandal. I know the reasons to support the claim that he should be federally charged outweigh the reasons why he shouldn't... since this is recent news there is no books on it or anything like that.. I am only allowed one source to be internet based, but everything I find supports the claim that he should be charged... so how can you guys help me out? Remember, I must make a case why he should not be "federally charged" I am still trying to find inforation to support my claim as to why former NY Governor, Eliot Spitzer should not be federally charged for being involved in this scandal. Just to let you guys know my personal point of view on this situation: I am okay with Spitzer facing criminal charges for this situation; as in my mind, being involved with politics and his previous career, he is basically going against everything he preaches or preached... But, my thinking is maybe he should face a smaller punishment such as state charges or something like that instead of federal charges... now, i just have to find info to back that up.
Also, wanted to let you guys know that this is not only a speech I have to present, but it is also in debate form... my opponent will be talking about the reasons why he should be federally charged and I have the honor of talking about why he shouldn't be, but i need info from credible sources: newspapers, websites, etc to support that claim. Whom ever is the person to provide me with enough info to win this debate and earn my 5 extra credit points in class, will recieve 5 stars.

High School Musical?s Starlet?s Scandal
High School Musical?s sweetheart, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, 18, apologized for nude pictures that were leaked onto the internet, on Friday, September 7, 2007. The pictures show Hudgens posing naked in a bedroom with red curtains behind her; the photographs were for her former boyfriend, Zac Efron, who also participated in the cast of High School Musical. ?I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends? is what Hudgens reportedly said during her explanation of the scandal. She was interviewed on the Tyra Bank?s Show where the Disney star commented that she is ?very low-key? and keeps her personal life to herself. Zac Efron split it with Vanessa because during his trip to Australia, Vanessa had gone to a Hollywood party with an older man and was ?all over? him. Vanessa also receives news that she is being sued by her lawyer, Brian Schall. Schall declares on September 20, 2007, that he did not receive the five percent of the five million that Vanessa earned since October of 2005. Many people question whether Vanessa will be fired from the Disney cast, but apparently, she will be staying because she holds many fans, and their parents say that it is her personal life. Although some parents think that it is the actress?s private life, some think that she should be fired from Disney Channel because they say that many children admire her and look up to her. Some parents said that they did not know what to tell their children of the incident. A mother of a fan opinioned that ?Eighteen is awfully young for this kind of display.? I NEED A NEW TITLE AND ENDING SANTENCE THANKS

I just read that yahoo sports investigated allegations that Reggie Bush was given certain gifts and monetary benefits while he was at USC. Various sports agencies have had thier financial records exposed to show that they did pay for some stuff for his parents and family. This is the second time for Bush that accusations like this have surfaced. Im not saying its ok if he "got paid" but at this point why even investigate? Theres nothing the NCAA can do to him now that hes a pro. Take away his heisman but what will that prove? I feel like the guys investigating this are just digging for scandal because scandal sells. How about you, do you think what happened in the past matters now?
