At the very least, you can say that there has never been another fight that was set up for a guy to lose like that one was! From the ring the size of a basketball court, to the ropes being loosed untill Al's head was in the forth row when he leaned back, to the 24 hour a day chants of "Ali, Ali" outside Foreman's room. Death threats, not letting him leave the country when the fight was postponed, etc, etc. After weeks of that, Foreman HAD to be a complete mental and physical wreck! He had to believe that if he beat Ali down there, that he would never live to see America again. They should have ordered an immediate re-match in the States. They say that styles make fights - but not THAT much! Foreman was going through guys who were as good as Ali like they were 5 year old children! You could see that it took Foreman 15 years just to recover from that experience. I think that it was the biggest blight ever brought upon boxing! If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is, in fact,...................a duck! Foreman stopped telling the 'FIX' story because anything derogatory said toward media darling Ali would hurt Foreman's popularity and marketabilty of his grill and stuff. Besides, it is too late to do any good and just sound like sour grapes. He's supposed to tell all in his new book though. mowglieboy - I can't believe Jim Jones didn't get a hold of you before you fell into the Ali cult. Go watch the computer fight and documentary and you might learn something once the tears subside. ...

Just watched the Holyfield/Foreman fight again. Evander can thank the God he believes in that it was a 41 year old, and slower Foreman that he fought. The courage that Foreman showed in that fight, standing toe-to-toe with a 29 year old, still unbeaten Holyfield, was superhuman. I remember watching it at the time and thinking that he had redeemed himself for the loss to Ali with his courageous performance. I also remember having a conversation with Buddy McGirt one day (he's a real student of the game), discussing Holyfield. He told me that it was Evander's performance against a still very dangerous Michael Dokes, that convinced him that Holyfield would win the heavyweight title. I agreed with him. I always knew Holyfield would be one of the greats. Forget the Moorer fight, the fact that grandfather George could go 12 highly competitive rounds with a young Holyfield completely redeemed him for the loss in Africa, in my opinion. ...

Hypothetically, if George Foreman had his prime, late 60's-70's body, and the intelligence he has of the sport nodays, with his know how from expieriance. Basically, would the wiser brain, in George's younger body be the perfect boxer? ...

George Foreman: I Was Drugged in Loss to Muhammad Ali Posted May 21st 2007 5:51PM by Michael David Smith Does George Foreman realize what a stunning claim he's making in his new autobiography? His loss to Muhammad Ali in 1974 (a fight known as the Rumble in the Jungle) is one of the most significant sports moments of the 20th Century. And now he says he lost because he was drugged: That's what the ex-heavyweight champ suggests in his new memoir, "God in My Corner," revealing his trainer gave him a weird-tasting cup of water just before the bout. "I almost spit it out . . . Man, I know this water has medicine in it," Foreman said to his trainer, who denied it was spiked. "I climbed into the ring with that medicinal taste still lingering in my mouth . . . After the third round, I was as tired as if I had fought 15 rounds." Think about this for a second. To believe Foreman is telling the truth, you'd have to believe that he knew he was sabotaged at the time, knew the Rumble in the Jungle was rigged, and waited until his 2007 autobiography to reveal all. ...

I often wondered why Foreman never got around to having a bout with Oscar Bonavena. They seemed evenly matched regarding power, skills & over all ring savy. One scarred of the other? Rumors were floating around back then but nothing came out of it. Whats your take on it? Foreman or Bonavena? ...

I for one can believe it. Foreman destroyed fighters that beat and gave Ali trouble. Frazier and Norton were nothing to Foreman, but Ali had major fits with them. It is what it is, he lost. And I don't think there is any controversy or anything like that, not after this long. But when I think about it, I can believe it. Foreman was a fantastic fighter that really should have been able to beat Ali, or at LEAST have made a more competitive fight. ...

Do you think Foreman is really leaving us??? (On House)? My brother says if he does, they'll probably introduce a new character. I personally think something dramatic is going to happen, and Foreman's going to realize he needs House to function, (haha.), and come back. What do you think? If he was written out of the show...Poor Omar!!! :( I also think its soooo sweet how he can't stop thinking about Lupe. (The woman he accidently killed). :( :) ...

A woman rancher needed someone to help her run the ranch. So she put an add in the paper and 2 men applied for the job. 1 man was an alcoholic and the other was gay. She decided to hire the gay man seeing that he would b safer. After a couple of weeks the ranch was looking great and she gave the foreman the night off. That night she was sitting in front of the fire with 2 glasses of wine when the foreman walked in. She looked at him and said "Come here" he slowly approached her and she said "take off my blouse" never breaking eye contact he slowly removes the blouse. Then she says "Take off my pants" slowly he unbutton and unzips her pants. "Now take off my bra and panties" after all this was done she turns to him and says "If you ever wear my clothes again you are fired" ...

It has his name and signature on it, but did George Foreman himself come up with the idea, and then get a patent, and all that? Or did someone else invent it, and George just signed on to be the spokesperson? I am sure I could research this on the web, and find the correct answer, but I am more interested in what you all think? And I am lazy. Oh and I don't have a computer. ...

Do you think Foreman is really trying to quit? Because Cameron tried to leave once but she reconsidered. Is Foreman also going to reconsider? What do you think will happen on tonight's finale? ...

After winning a knockout from Moore, George Foreman became the WBA heavyweight champion. But they took his title away because he refuse to fight Tony Tucker and he fought Axel Schulz instead. Tony Tucker's record was 54-2 with 45 KOs. He lost to good fighers, Lewis and Tyson, and his last fights were by KO. Axel Shculz was only 21-1-1 with only 10 KOs. Why didn't Foreman fight a contender like Tucker? Is it because he wanted a superfight with Mike Tyson? ...

Does anyone know if this is a foreman grill and if so what type? Thanks ...

"Be very very queit, he doen't know that I will give him Breasts Implants. lol!!!!!!!!!" You know Foreman (Eric Foreman), he is that black doctor from my show (House). ...

The fight was set, they'd both trained, but the day before the fight, the promoter pulled the plug. Pity. It was the last great fight of the Golden Age of the Heavies (late 60's, early 70's), albeit three decades late. I had Foreman. The tools at his disposal - size, strength, power - were still formidable weapons. Holmes' tools - speed, combination punching, footwork - were blunted with age. Agree. Disagree. ...
