 I'm moving to Las Vegas with my boyfriend of 3 years in October. I'm not overweight .. i would just like to tone my body fast. I'm sure living in vegas i'm going to be wearing A LOT of tanks and A LOT of shorts. So i would like to tone my legs and arms for sure! Maybe tone my butt a little bit .. maybe my tummy. Are crunches the best way? Do they tone your legs or arms at all? I would like to stay away from weights .. just excersises i can do at home.  I have a friend who works overseas alot. When I call him I hear first "longer dial tone" once , and then back to normal dial tone for 5 times and voice mail picks up. I heard sometimes when you were at out of service area you can't use cell at all. If he is in US and at out of service area you don't hear any dial tone or maybe ring once and goes to voice mail. But if he is overseas that is very far it could ring several tones and then goes to voice mail? I just have no idea what the first "one longer dial tone" is.. ...

I read on dictionary.com that it says that tone is the quality of sound. But what IS Tone?! Is there such a thing as perfect tone?  My boyfriend frequently has what sounds to me like a negative tone of voice--- SOmetimes its when he is trying to fix something, or when he is ready to go somehwere. He sounds mean, and commanding, when i think he could say things in a neutral way,or in a more kind manner, or he says something like, madly, what do you think you are doing! OR in accusing tone, or so you did so and so, instead of asking if I did something--- I feel hurt, and when I try to say something about his tone, he says he is feeling it, and i need to get over it, not make it my problem. I do not think a lot of what seems like negativity being aimed at me is neccessary. Sure, I could take on a "whatever" stance and just let him blast all over the place, and really, i just do not find being around that to feel good, or to be productive in solving problems. i wonder if this is verbal abuse. If I say something about tha, he says that is judgement, telling me to get over it. any ideas? TOne deaf... ...

 I've been playing for six years now and my tone has gradually gotten better. When I practice, I try playing songs with a james galway cd (for example i'll play along with galway's arrangement of 'Beauty and th Beast'). But I notice that my tone is what i think of as too pure as compared to sir galway and other flute players as well. When i listen to them, especially sir galway, they have this particular medium between focused/pure tone and a slight hint of airyness. If you listen to one of galway's slow ballads and pay attnetion to his tone, you should be able to recognize what i mean.  Yeah, I need a hair cut and overall change and my mom isn't letting me dye my hair (highlights, no problem, dying, she's so against it despite her dying her own hair before), so she suggested two-tone highlights. I've heard of two-toning as in one colour on top and your natural on the bottom (or vice versa, like how people have blonde on top and black underneath, etc.). I've looked it up elsewhere and all I find it the solid dying and natural, no two-toned highlights. So what is two-toned highlighting exactly? when I looked up two-toned hair on google all I got was the blonde+black kind of thing, no highlights from what I saw ...
