Australian politicians are on the spot and at a loss to explain how no improvement in "safety" has been observed after such monumental effort and expense was successfully expended in "ridding society of guns." It's time to state it plainly; Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws only affect the law-abiding citizens. Take action before it's too late. ? Paul Harvey on Guns On another note, Daytime TV talk host Rosie O'Donnell (a radical gun control advocate) got upset at the fact that reporters 'informed the world' that her security guards were unarmed. She implied that such placed her family in greater danger. The Lord dealt with this type of logic in Matthew 23:4, ?For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men?s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.? I guess she knows that if criminals believe there is a high probability that someone is unarmed, they will be more inclined to strike! This is why gun control in a free country gets people killed. Wouldn?t it be nice if Ms. O'Donnell would get "upset" with her fellow gun control advocates for trying to pass laws that would, by their very nature, "inform the world" that every American is a sitting duck.  hi everyone, i just bought a chevrolet impala LS 2001. and it got some buttons on the steering wheel for audio control and cruise control .. after i bought it (used of course) i noticed that the audio control aren't working.. then i when i pressed hard on it.. it worked .. but not all the time.. i thought it would be just some dust i tried to clean it with some pressurised air.. it worked but with confusion.. when i want to raise the volume it changes the channel. and vice versa.. so anyway after some time the whole audio control buttons on the steering wheel stopped working.... however the cruise control still working fine without any problems.. what might be the problem??? and where should i fix it!!?? and how much should i expect to spend on fixing that!?? any advice will be great! thanks ...

 Again I speak of ancient times. Times when our emergence was only in the beginning stages. A time when the morning star fell from the sky to rule with darkness. A time when the biggest conspiracy ever was born. A conspiracy to eliminate all souls from an isolated planet. Millions are apart of this plan and are oblivious to its existence. "Their" way is pounded into our very being from preschool. We are a product of lies and deception and most of us live oblivious to this reality. Our reality is even a lie and a cover for the truth. We have no control over any aspect of our lives accept for our thoughts and our souls. We are those that are controlled by the controllers. We are a byproduct of the plan of the elders. What is the plan of the elders? Who are the elders? Well, the plans of the elders are the blue prints of the greatest conspiracy of all. A conspiracy so concise most all humanity has never realized its existence. Most will read this and still not understand the importance of its message and will still not realize that this world has been shaped and molded throughout all of history by the plan of the elders. There are signs all around us and have been throughout history. The elders are here and have been since before man. They rule in darkness and death is their signature.  Last Monday, tragedy struck the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. A lone gunman went on two separate shooting rampages at the university. After killing two students in a dormitory, he later entered an academic building and chained shut the front doors. Then he proceeded to walk through the second floor, and with two pistols shot and killed another 3O students and instructors. Before he could be stopped by the police, he shot himself. When the day ended, 33 were dead and more than a dozen injured. This is now the deadliest shooting spree in American history. With each eruption of unbelievable, unforgivable violence like this, Americans invariably ask, ?How did this happen?? And before the dust has settled, the finger-pointing begins. But the more important question ? and the one we don?t want to ask because we don?t want to answer it ? is ?Why did this happen?? America has suffered a monumental tragedy. My heart and prayers go out to all Virginia Tech students, parents, and families who lost loved ones and friends in this senseless act of a twisted mind. But in the aftermath of America?s worst school massacre, I know there are those who will use it to promote causes that don?t really address the problem. For instance, the anti-gun crowd is already springing out of the woodwork. But to say that this tragedy was caused by the availability of guns, simplistically fails to recognize the real source of the problem. There has never been a gun made that killed anyone. It?s the person wielding the weapon who kills. If that?s not true, we had better forbid the use of the automobile. Far more people are killed in auto accidents than are killed with guns. And yet, therein the problem is illustrated. Automobiles don?t kill people. It?s the person who drives the automobile that kills people. One issue that is almost always overlooked in the discussion of gun violence is the complete removal of Biblical morals and ethics from America?s public life, especially our schools. This has left young minds vulnerable to such things as the endless flood of computer games that facilitate, inspire, and train them to kill great numbers of people with efficiency, but without remorse. It?s done with computer simulation. Some say there?s no correlation between these games and the act of murder. However, there have been connections established with some of those who have killed in the most calloused and ruthless manner. If a mind is continually imprinted with the acting out of bloody, ruthless killings, the lines between make-believe and reality become blurred. And though moral judgment is blurred, physical skill is sharpened. Just think for a moment. Mohammad Atta and the other terrorists on 9/11 had never actually flown a Boeing 767. They were taught the basics of flying in smaller aircraft, but they learned how to operate the instruments and controls of a 767 through computer simulators. In the same way, many of the computer games played for hours on end by some young people teach the tactics and reflexive skills needed for killing large numbers of people. These games are much worse than the violent movies and TV series that feature violence. At least they have a script that attaches some semblance of rationale for why the killings are taking place. But the violent computer games bring no ethics or morals into the equation. You win by blowing apart in bloody gun battles as many people as possible. Normal human sensitivities and compassion are dulled over time by this simulation. This is especially true in the case of disturbed and alienated young minds that have not been taught any concept of parental discipline, love and Biblical morality. It?s the amoral mind of people that causes death via guns, knives, clubs ? or whatever else can be used in a lethal way. It?s not the inanimate weapon. So removing guns from law-abiding citizens is not the answer. It only leaves them defenseless before the criminals that in any case will manage to obtain guns. History repeatedly proves this point. Listen to this statement and ask yourself who made it: ?This year will go down in history. For the first time a civilized nation has full gun registration. The street will be safer, the police more efficient and the world will follow our lead into the future.? That was Adolf Hitler, on April 15th, 1935. History offers other examples of what can happen when citizens are stripped of the means to defend themselves. The Turkish Ottoman Empire established gun control in 1911. It then proceeded to exterminate one and a half million Armenians from 1914?1917. The Soviet Union established gun control in 1929. Subsequently, from 1928?1953, 60-million dissidents were imprisoned and then exterminated. China enacted gun control laws in 1935. After the communist takeover, from 1948?1952, 20 million Chinese, unable to defend themselves, were murdered. Nazi Germany fully established gun control in 1938. That helped the government to round up 13 million defenseless Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, mentally ill and impaired human beings. Many were imprisoned in concentration camps, then destroyed. Guatemala passed gun control laws in 1964. Then, from 1964 to 1981, 100-thousand defenseless Mayan Indians were exterminated. Uganda established gun control measures in 1970. Predictably, from 1971 to 1979, 300-thousand defenseless Christians met a similar fate. Cambodia established gun control measures in 1956. Subsequently, from 1957 to 1977 one-million Cambodians met their deaths. Our Founding Fathers had good reason to include in the Constitution ?the right for each citizen to bear arms.? They came to this country with vivid memories of what an all-powerful government could do to its defenseless citizens. In our country, the following evidence clearly demonstrates the impact upon criminals that armed citizens have. Vermont has a genuine right-to-carry law. That means no permit is required. Yet Vermont boasts the lowest crime rate in the nation. Nationwide in the USA, concealed-carry laws have resulted in a drop in crime rates. A comprehensive national study in 1996 determined that violent crime fell after states made it legal to carry concealed firearms. The results of the study showed that states, which passed concealed-carry laws, reduced their murder rate by 8.5%, rapes by 5%, and aggravated assaults by 7% and robbery by 3%. By extrapolation, if the other States, which do not have concealed-carry laws, had adopted such laws in 1992, then approximately 1,570 murders, 4,177 rapes, 60,000 aggravated assaults and 12,000 robberies would have been avoided yearly. So let?s deal with the real problem ? by seeking to reform the minds of our citizens with Biblical morality and ethics.  Hi, I m using .net I m using 5 user control in my page(let's say uc.aspx), which is under table(html server control) & total 5 row is there in table & in each row one user control is there. All these 5 user control i have placed in design mode(that is 5 user control must be present in design mode, i don't want to load them in runtime) From some other page(let's say call.aspx) i m calling "uc.aspx" & i am passing two paramater with call.aspx (one for search text & another for deciding which user control has to be load & also i want only 1 user control in us.aspx in runtime based on passed param).  I am very interested in buying a Logitech Harmony Remote Control. However, I mostly watch movies and program off my PC computer that is connecting to the S-video port of my TV. In another word, I want to be able to press one button to turn on my TV, get to the right channel for S-video, and have my PC going to the movie folder of the hard drive. Therefore, I can pick a movie using the control and start enjoying the movie. It sounds like a lot to ask, but I really want to know if this is possible before I buy one.  When the road conditions are slightly bad, such as even a little ice, snow, or even on gravel, the traction control light comes on, and the brake pedal refuses to despress. It is not like anti-lock brakes (the brakes aren't pumping like they should with the ABS) Though my bf says that he's not sure that we have ABS, though I'm pretty sure our manual says that we do (and its icy enough outside neither one of us wants to go get it right now). But the basic issue is that the traction control (we think) is causing us to actually lose control, and causing our brakes to not work when we need them, and thus we are spinning out of control alot (thankfully, because God seems to really love us, we haven't had any actual accidents because of it). So question #1 is-- What do you think is causing this Question #2 is -- What can we do about it Question #3 is -- Is there a way to turn off traction control, would it be safe to do so, or is it actually a problem with the brakes? ...

 I have lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome so I can't take birth control pills and most other hormonal birth control. However, when I used to go to UCLA medical center a couple doctors mentioned some sort of injection that would be ok for me, I just can't remember what it was called and I don't see those doctors anymore. Does anyone know what injection they could have been talking about or any other form of birth control that is not the usual non-hormonal birth control (condoms, spermicide, etc.)?  My doc has suggested that I get on birth control for a couple of months to help regulate my cycle. I called bull on that one that studies have shown that if you are irregular before birth control, that the person will likely continue to be irregular even after birth control... I kind of think that it was birth control that completely screwed up my cycle in the first place (got off of it 1 year and 5 months ago, and haven't gotten pregnant). But now I'm interested, how will going on birth control for a couple months regulate my cycle even after I get off of birth control? O.o From what I have learned, is that I will get irregular once I get off of it anyway. Plus, getting on b/c seems kind of counterproductive to getting pregnant. O.o ...

 OK, so I have a science fair project to do and my teacher requires us to have a CONTROL GROUP. But I really don't know what my control group is.. My project is basically just testing females and males to see which of the gender would find the change in the image faster. EX. engine thing beneath the airplane's wing is the change) This 'flickering' image is an example for a visual perception called 'change blindness' (so, My question is: Is change blindness more prevalent (popular) in females or male? My hypothesis is: If change blindness were presented to males, then the time figuring out the image change would be slower. (which would mean that 'change blindness' is more popular to males) So what would be my control group? Or do I have to change my question a little bit?
