 How many of you think the employees of walmart should quite their crying? I saw a new comercial about people whining because they cant afford walmart's health ins. and stuff. My job doesn't offer health insurance, and you dont see me crying on TV about it. Dont they realize that having a job is a PRIVELAGE and not a RIGHT? If they dont like it, go work somewhere else! It's not like walmart pays less than minimum wage! If anything walmart gives jobs to the people who wouldn't normally get jobs anywhere else like the retired people and "slow" people. You dont hear them complaining! They're just happy to have jobs! They all need to relize that Walmart offers amazing prices, and no matter how many TV commercials they put out, people are not going to stop shopping there! ...

 When I was hired at Walmart, they asked me if I wanted to enroll in their company paid life insurance program. My mother said it was a great deal; however, I declined because of the "fine print" on the form. By signing the contract, you are ensuring your beneficiary will recieve benefits (approx. $100,000) IF you still work for Walmart or you work there long enough that they allow you to keep this coverage. Also, this contract states that the company can open an additional policy (up to $1,000,000) with Walmart as the sole beneficiary.  Capitalist theory supports the concepts of success, competition and most of all the profit margin. Let's examine a couple of the claims against WalMart who excel in all areas of a capitalist system.. 1) WalMart kills small businesses. Is this really WalMart's fault, or are these businesses just unable to compete and thus doomed to fall victim to any superior marketing strategy? 2) WalMart uses foreign labor for manufacturing. People demand low priced goods. WalMart provides these low prices. Should WalMart be forced to use American manufacturing and then rather than pass along the price to the consumer instead be forced to take less in profit? 3) WalMart makes too much money. Why is it such a crime to be successful? and Who gets to determine how much is enough? These are just common examples, but feel free to add to the list if you wish. However, I completely disagree with your position on small business. Small businesses do not enjoy any more rights than large companies and must find ways to compete or go out of business.  There is much pointing to the fact that we don't want to get too heavily involved in a conflict with N Korea for fear of upsetting our giant, communistic trade partner, China. Would it be possible then, to effect change in N Korea by putting pressure on Walmart (who sources the vast majority of it's goods from China) to throw it's weight into the fray? This could be done by a US effort to boycott Chinese made goods from Walmart (and all other stores) whereby Walmart would pass on the problem to China (who surely does not want to lose Walmart business) who would in turn put pressure on their little communist brother to knock this nuke thing off.  ok so i worked at walmart in 04 but only for 3 months because i was 15 and i was pushing carts. we did not have a cart pushing machine and i hated it. so i gave them my 2 weeks notice in 05 and left. i did a application online monday and today i got a call from the same lady saying come in 2morrow for n interview. now i can remeber but anybody who knows--walmart conduct there interviews on saturday. im thinking i got re hired as long as the interview goes well which i have no reason it shouldnt. do u think if the interview goes well ill get rehired?
