 I'm attending a concert soon, that specifically says they will allow non-professional, small personal camera's. I have a Kodak 10x Zoom Digital Camera. The lens extends from the camera, it is not removeable. I know it's not a professional camera, but I asked the facility the concert is to be held in, if this camera would be allowed in, since it is a zoom camera. She said she didn't know. I'd like someone's opinion that knows about this kind of thing. Would the concert people consider my Kodak 10x Zoom camera a non-professional camera & allow me to take it in? I'd hate to get all the way there (I have to travel), get all the way to the door, only to be told I can't use it because it's not considered a small personal camera. Please help!  I'm very much a digital camera person using DSLR as my primary camera. Recently however I've started to become more interested in different film and camera types. I know that Holga cameras produce certain effects on their films because of the way the camera was made. I know that kodachrome produces vibrant colors... But i want to know more. I'd like a list from anyone that knows or can give me a link of examples of different types of 'effects' that are produced from different cameras and films, or even photoshop tutorials that list unique camera effects. You're going to say 'go to a tutorial site and type in camera-effects', but i can't search for a specific effect when i dont know exactly what im searching for. More-less I'm looking for a list of cameras/film effects. I know the holga is unique in its own way with the vignetted edges; but what can other cameras/films do? ...

 Alright so I finally got a memory card for my digital camera, and now I want to put my new pics on my computer, but I cant figure it out! On my moms and my brothers cameras they just have to press a button on the camera and the pictures will load onto the computer, but mine doesn't do that! I put the software that came with the camera onto my computer and I cant seem to find it, I installed it twice and still nothing. So I go onto My Computer and at the very bottom it says Scanners and Cameras were it has my brother Kodak Easy Share there, my HP Scanner and then it says Pentax Optio E10 Video Camera (which is my camera) and I click on it and then it makes my camera like a webcam sorta and I can take pictures from my computer. But it doesn't say anything about the pictures that are on my digital camera, I dont get it! Could someone please help me out. Its a Pentax E10 model and yes I have all the cords plugged into my computers usb port. ...

A week later when going to pick up the camera, the store says it has been misplaced and they are unable to locate it. I'm not new with the digital camera scene as I own a KODAK EASYSHARE CX7430 at this moment but after it fell and snapped open....I'm going to have to buy a new one.  my wife was going on a field trip with my daughter today and last night she asked if she could use the digital camera that belongs to my work (which i do not own). i had some picture on the camera i would be downloading for a report and said i really couldn't allow her to borrow it. I am allowed to bring the camera home and it has kept us from buying one on our own. i bring it home on weekends and often during the week. She also has taken to using my cell phone (again we personally don't own one) when she goes shopping or on small day trips. The phone is on the blink and i didn't offer for her to use it because i was going to take it back to our IT guy today and ask him to have it fixed. She was upset i didn't offer the phone and also upset i didn't offer the camera. i will be needing the camera and so said i was selfish and couldn't believe i refused her. what if my boss said, go take a picture, today and i didn't have the camera. What am i going to say...my wife has it? just an added detail.....she is spoiled when it comes to work expectations. she runs the family business and up until this January worked about 2 hours a day. now she's working 8 hours a day and you would think the world has stopped. as far as the camera, she truly doesn't understand that although we have used it many times, it's during off-work time. when i had to go to work today, i needed the camera not only to take some pictures, but to off-load some that were on there. she is often very childish when it comes to things like this and she was shocked i said NO to her. she is honestly wearing me out with her unrealistic expectations and constant verbal bantering. ...
