 I've heard of people catching lizards with a blade of grass used as a snare to catch it around its neck. How does that work? Wont the lizard just back up out of it or is there a way to tighten the snare? Look people!!! I didn't say I was gonna try it!! A few boys a my schooll were catching lizards like that.  Ok, my step-dad found this lizard in WV, it is tan with a very blue belly with a white strip down the middle of the blue......it can't be a fence lizard I don't think, right now we have it in a big aqurium, with grass, water,little logs and baby grass-hoppers.  I bought 2 anole lizards. The Banamon anole, (hopefully I spelled it right). Today, I noticed that one had the spine on it's back all puffed out and his dewlap was going nuts. And the other lizard is light green and looks pretty happy, jumped on the log the other lizard was on. Well, the 'mad ' one turned around and scared the other lizard away. It had it's mouth open like it wanted to bit it . What's going on with this 'mad' lizard? It's being very disgruntal about life lately and it's never acted this way before! I know it's mating season but, at the sametime it puzzles me because I never owned a lizard before. Any ideas why? This behavior is new! They would cuddle together hanging from the screen cover on the tank. One would hold the other one up and be like a hammock for the other one. They never showed any anger problems for each other before. I just hope the angry one won't hurt the other one. It's a medium size tank. Maybe 10 gallons? There's a log and the less dominant one is always hiding under it. I think the 'mad' one is very horny and needs to bread. Which brings up another question, if i bought a female ? would the dom get more dom with the other male in there? I know that I will sep. them if this continues. But as I said this is the first time I have ever seen either of them get mad and chase eachother around. It's kind of freakin me out a bit! I feed them crickets and meal worms. Keep the humidity around 70-80 ish. So I am not sure if its something we are doing or it's something about the other lizard thats ticking the mad one off?? I feel really sorry for the calm lizard. Because he will go on the fake leaves and the mad one will chase it down. He needs to chill out..geesh. I have found a temp solution to end this fear I have that the mean anole from hurting the other one. I sewed on a screen to the top of the covered screen top. I am cleaning the cage as I speak but took a second break to eat lunch. I actually have another question which I hope will be answered in time...I am thinking about buying a female to put in with the 'mad' anole'. I am thinking he is horny and it's breeding time. what are your thoughts on this? ...
