 I have a Canon EOS IX Slr camera, with 24 to 85mm lens it uses APS or Advantix films instead of conventional films, it was revolutionary at its time until the emergence of the DLSR, i bought it for sentimental reasons and its ease of use, i also have a Canon Speedlight 430ez flash.. here is my problem now im thinking of buying a DLSR im choosing either a Nikon D70 or Canon 350d or 400d, but im leaning towards a Canon, so i currently have 2 SLR a Nikon F80 with Tamron 24 to 200mm lens and Nikon SB-25 flash, and the Canon EOS IX with 24 to 80mm lens and Canon Speedlight 430ez, if i will buy a DLSR, one of my SLR will go, i will sell, which would i sell, one would be my backup SLR. OR shouldf i just keep it because its useful and it wouldnt be that large sum of money if i sell it. If i sell shall i sell the whole line or just the camera body, the lens or the flash. If i go DIGITAL would my existing flash be fully compatible or need to be sold and be replaced as well.. in a bdget ...

 I believe the original installation of this printer FAX scanner copier somehow caused the Canon software to become shareware as an integral part of another program. If I delete the Canon MultiPASS exe file, I'm sure it will delete or corrupt a program. The warning on each start-up says there is a task (I can't find the shareware task) running that would be corrupted or deleted if I delete the file C:/Program Files\Canon\MultiPASS\MPTBox.exe. I use Windows 2000 & can't affort to upgrade to XP right now. How can I stop this half-screen warning from appearing on my desktop everytime I start up my PC? The Canon program takes up a lot of space too. Please help if you know how. Thank you. ...

 Originally I ordered from Canon a bubble printer Model i550, unfortunetly my printer ceased to work, I contact canon tech service and he could fix it, so I am out of a printer, but I still want to stay with Canon, What Model do you suggest that is closest to the i550 that I had originally I use it to print black & white text in draft mode, et. al., and also print scanned photo's using Glossy Photo paper with excellent results.  Hi, I just got a Canon S3IS, and need a little help. First of all, the red eye reduction feature on my camera leaves the subject with silver eyes as opposed to red.. Is there any way to just allow the pupils of the subject to be dark and not a silver reflection of the flashj? Second, what is the best way (setting,) to shoot a backlighted subject..Which settings? Using the flash I suppose? Third, what is the best setting to stop action, (for example at sunset, if I juggle golf balls, what setting will capture the brilliant reds of the sunset as well as stop the balls in mid air?) Finally, is there a site, on line that I can go to that will simply answer these questions.. Canon's site's are so complex that they are of no more help than the manual, and if anyone who is a Canon expert has put together any kind of "How to use a Canon Digital" for Dummies, I'd love to know about it..  my friend (female) believes that 1st off a canon if shot at a person will only break the leg, I told her it would rip you in half... who's right??? :) Also she said that a canon coudn't penetrate an Elephants skin, it coudn't kill and Elephant. Primarily because the canon ball is blunt and large.  I'm starting to take photography as a real hobby, spending many weekends out there shooting, and I feel it's time to change my shooting gear from a canon A520 point & shoot (which surprisingly accepts a lot of manual settings) and my old canon AE-1 (with a tamron 70-280 lens, and the trusty old 50mm prime) to a dSLR. Now I have done quite a lot of research about Nikon and Canon dSLR cameras (Nikon D50 and Canon 350D in particular), and I know both are very good bodies with not-the-greatest kit lenses. And I know that it all comes to lenses when photo quality is considered, and that both manufacturers have excelent lenses. I also know that I'll stick with the brand I choose now for the next couple of years. Question: How do Nikon and Canon lens offerings compare together in terms of pricing and quality? To be more specific, if you take two very similar lenses (both in terms of numbers AND optics quality) from each manufacturer, which one would be cheaper? Would this be a general rule? ...

 Reason is as I was testing my used Canon EF Autofocus 35-70mm lens on my Canon 650 and the Canon Rebel, While looking from an angle into the inside of the lens to look at the movement of the aperature opening, I do not see it open or close when lens' Autofocus is set and the camera shutter clicked. Is the lens damaged or No good or Do these EF lenses automatically are supposed to be like that as the cmaera automatically set the shutter speed without having to adjust the aperature opening. I am not sure if my lenses are in good working condition or if they are damaged at this point. THANKS for your help. ...

 I bought a camera Canon powershot SD700 2 weeks ago. Now SD800 got released. Should I retun Sd700 & buy SD800? But Canon Powershot D700 Zoom got stuck. I am planning to return that camera. I hardly used it. Even to exchange this with another one, they don't have 700 in the store. They have SD800. Price is $60 in difference. It looks exactly like SD700, with little upgrade. I am wondering may be I will have same problem even if I buy SD800(Zoom). I really like the size & functionality of this camera. You think Canon replaced SD700 with SD800.?  I don't know which one to choose. I know that the F30 is great taking indoor shots and low-light shots, and I know that the Canon has Image Stabilization. The Canon is around $360, and the Fuji around $275. What camera should I choose, I usually take indoor shots and I think that outside shots would consist of probably 20% of all my photos.  The FujiFilm has slightly higher quality. It's 6.3 megapixels, while Canon is 6. But the FujiFilm only has Chrome and Black and white color effects. Canon has a ton, and they're really neat. I have Photoshop, but it's a bit hard to do some of the editing required if I just got the FujiFilm. So my question is: Is the slightly better quality of the FujiFilm worth all the work it would take to edit it, or should I go for the Canon because of all the effects? ...
